Season 15’s Best Tattoos 🏆 Ink Master 

A LOT of good artists this season. But Freddie and Bobby are on a ridiculously high level. Some of their tattoos are just unbelievable.

It honestly could have gone either way. Freddie's were Picasso esk, they were colorful striking. Bobby's were always solid, powerful.

Personally, I don't think there were enough queer or femme voices in the room to understand what Freddie was trying to do with his second piece. I was so taken with it when I first saw the tattoo and I was positive it was going to be a standout. As someone who's struggled A LOT with sexual identity, gender identity and sexual violence: the dysphoric proportions, the pained/angry/sensual expression, the overlays and stickers covering her up, how it almost looks like that's not her arm or her head... it all hits really close to home and I would ADORE something of this symbolic quality on my person. I was really shocked when the group rejected this piece, and I think a queer perspective might have seen it very differently. I guess I shouldn't be surprised a room of mostly straight white men were confused by the piece with the most challenging representation of femininity (I mean the jury literally called Eve's hands and elbows man-ish *eyeroll*). Personally, I can't stop thinking about this piece. I would KILL for a high-quality print and do worse for the actual tattoo. With no disrespect to Bobby who obviously earned his win, I believe Freddie was misunderstood, ahead of his time, and ultimately robbed. Bobby is so alike previous winners, so I understand why they chose him, but Freddie was special. Nobody can do what Freddie does. When faced with two finalists who were equally deserving and poised to win, I was frustrated that they chose the less exciting option. TLDR: Bobby makes immaculate tattoos, but Freddie pushes boundaries. They should've given the gay the win.

I just don't see the point of calling out a specific aspect for the challenges when the judges (and sometimes the artist) completely ignore it. We've all seen multiple instances where a challenge was obviously not met but an artist won because it was still "a great tattoo". What's the point of going out of your comfort zone when the judges are grading the piece on how well they like the art or how much they disagree with the composition as proposed by the canvas? The message they're sending seems fairly clear and it's that tried and true beats working harder to become a better all-around ink "master" any day.

Almost everything that Freddy created, was a spectacular tattoo. What a phenomenal season! So many talented artists that were deserving of the title 🙏

Freddie's body of work is hinting that he could be a generational talent in the tattoo world. Bobby is a wizard and a technician, but Freddie is hands down the creative mad genius.

Freddie was ahead of his time as an artist, he pushed boundaries even the judges were torn about, I think he will pave a new way in the tattoo industry, he has a unique style that is recognisable as Freddie and if you had a tattoo from him everyone would know it was a Freddie tattoo. He could turn skin into paint, combine styles that people wouldn’t naturally combine and from beginning to end learnt, improved, but stayed true to himself as an artist. The other finalists were amazing technicians too but their work could be replicated by any other top game tattooist out there. No one could replicate Freddie, he was a standalone and a leader for what tattoo could be and could become, he pushed boundaries and never played it safe. I hope the show brings him back again somehow because he has a lot to show the tattoo art world that hasn’t been seen before.

I wish more tattoos pushed the boundaries like Freddie's.

I appreciate Bobby but damn Freddy’s artistic expression is on a whole other level. Don’t get why they’re giving him shit when DJ’s winning backpiece was similar (love it to bits but lmao the back wasn’t even completed )

Freddy’s “mistake” tattoo was so appealing to me. Eye of the beholder, I suppose, but everything shown in this clip revealed some enviable artistry.

I hate nothing more than seeing someone as good as Freddy be let down that close to winning.

How Bobby won in the final 4 while just ignoring the style request is baffling

Bobby is good but Bobby is the type of Inkmaster that we've seen 1000 times over. His performance in the completion wasn't anywhere near Freddie's. Freddie is an artist the like of which this competition has never seen and he was consistently good across the entire competition. Bobby didn't even meet the challenge every time and he just kept getting a pass. The jury of boring, American traditional guys robbed Freddie of his title. He will always be my Inkmaster ❤

Don’t get me wrong Bobby is an amazing artist, but I feel like at times Dj was biased towards picking his tattoo. Both Bobby and Freddie are incredible tattoo artists, but in my humble opinion I think Freddie should have won, his creativity and artistry is insane.

Bobby is a very skilled and creative artist. But damnnn, Freddie took it to a WHOLE other level. Freddie was robbed.

That was the most basic ass ink master choice. The judge even said nothing that Bobby did was like wow almost anybody could do that. Lol even when Bobby won it was so awkward… like everybody kinda felt Freddy got robbed. And even more when watching the best tattoos over the entire season.

And Bobby's fox was beautiful but it was just a fox with scales. Praising him for anatomy didn't seem warranted. No fucks given, team Freddie ALL DAY

DJ favored Bobby all season long it’s no surprise he won. DJ did say multiple times how he’s big fan of Bobby etc . Freddy crushed it in final challenge and got robbed yes I agree all 3 of Bobby’s were fantastic but so wasn’t Freddy’s . Either way u look at it was one of the best seasons yet . Now we need to see all the past Ink master champs go at it. All Past winners have gotten so much better since they won it would make for amazing season.

Also, fuck DJ for his comment about that tattoo making him want to vomit. The judges acting like it looked unintentional was ridiculous to me, the proportions were clearly intended. It was giving me a Dadaist vibe. I know plenty of women who would not only wear that tattoo but for whom it would fit perfectly into their aesthetic. Total conversation piece. I think DJ and his 3 wins didn't want an Inkmaster more creative than him.

Bobby’s and Freddie’s tattoos are chef kiss but I think Freddie should’ve won tbh he pushed himself and got out of his comfort zone and I think Bobby played it safe 🤷🏾‍♀️

Freddie crushed this season. Innovative, creative tattoos. Bobby did good regular tattoos but Ink Master gives the win to whoever suit more their style to become a host later. Many times they favorite someone from the beginning, @Inkmaster is not fair and this is like the 6th time I see they favorite someone. Fake show again.

I have one issue with Jozzy western tattoo that they didn't mention. The light source is behind the cowboy. But the reflection of light on the Cowboy is on the front/above. Still a crazy cool tattoo. But yeah.

This was a great season and so many talented artists . I really wish inkmaster would do a season of past champions that would be an awesome season.Dont know why they haven’t made that yet

Freddy was robbed, he pushed everything, you feel like there's a mistake on composition, but it's intentional, it's the fucking point, it tells a story and provokes much more feelings than anything else up there

They need non biased judges. Nunez and Peck were perfect in that aspect. It came down to the ink(or atleast that's what it appeared to be) . Dj was WAY too biased rolling with Bobby almost every week. Freddy also should have won. His work was outstanding throughout the entire series. Bobbys work was solid as well but he was definitely carried by DJ at times. It was like he had the odds in his favor. I understand their's politics when it comes to a reality show however politics shouldn't determine the winner of Inkmaster.

Seeing all these new types of machines is badass as well. For so many seasons it was the same type of machines we seen being used. And that art work is truly some of the best we’ve ever seen in Inkmaster history

I reckon this has been the best season for quality tattoos across the board…..can’t think of any real major crappy or complete disasters, apart from that ‘experiment’ by Freddie in the final…….had it not been for that, he would have won hands down.

It would be nice if you showed at least one for comparison.

i actually like freddies b/g one from the finale. i get the head and body dont fit but somehow it makes it.....fit more? bobby and freddies tattoos are out of this world tbh but i would honestly have voted freddie

What a hell of a season, I mean some of the pieces these guys were doin day 1 were finals material of seasons past. I love how elegant Bobby's pieces are, they are just soooo clean and tight every time, and I think that's where he takes it over Freddie. It's like an Ali vs Tyson, one is sharp and clean, the other swings big with a chance to miss more than the other but has a higher ceiling of success when he lands. Anyone would be lucky to have a piece from either artist in my eyes, incredible work.
