hey! the taunus is the same model as the spicey orange .. i'm only restoring it by now! but the 2.3 liters engine works great! (132 HP) here in argentina cars' hand drive is opposite as in UK. weather here is hot in summer and cold in winter, most part of the year is humid, and yes, cars always get rotten here also.. i'll try to work on a video to post soon!
If u do that the back will be softer and have more "tramp"(judder during wheelspin as the springs flex, linkages prevent this). Can u put shorter spring hangers on? or fit lowering blocks? lowering blocks may also effect tramp but not as much,...I think! Locating axle is main handling improvement for leaf spring fords I believe? If u take leaf out fit an X brace to leaf springs to stop flex, maybe a capri 3.0 brace? r they similar?love the car BTW,beutiful.
depending where you be, it can be humid or dry, we have many weather type, i love this cars most 79' models, (anyway i didnt know about that video model in particular, never see one here and sure none with v6 engine, all 4 cilinder) many are in pretty bad shape, rusted already, few are somehow good. i hope this car will be my first car.. im looking for one and saving money...
Is the argentine tauus the same but right hand drive? Is it dry/hot or humid in argentina? In some places cars dont rot, in some they do, like here in UK!
