Tabletop of the Taurus 627 Tracker. A very fun gun to add to my collection. Its a new caliber to me and all this one has seen are my reloads. This is a entry level 357 for sure but it fits my needs just fine!!
Taurus has recall issues starting from at least 1993-2024 they didn't get a bad rap! Will only buy Taurus revolvers like the Tracker and have a couple of Raging Bulls in .454 Casull . Had to send a Taurus 92 FS for service in 1998 and it took five months to get it back, due to lack of parts.
Not sure if your still looking, but I got the Hogue Grips today, and they change the feel drastically. The trigger was a little hard to reach and the hogue grip made my hand melt into the gun. Also makes it look more classy.
You can use breakthrough's solvent cleaner and carbon remover to get those stains off the finish. Blue wonder does an excellent all around cleaner. Use can use white nail polish base if you replace the orange sight sticker. Flow up with a bright orange nail polish to fill in and bring out the frobt sight. You can add a coat of glow in the dark nail polish on the white or orange to get it to bright ip and glow in low light conditions. Hogue grips are ideal although Taurus offers a replacement grip on their site as an upgrafe for less than $10.00+ s/h.
I’m waiting on a Taurus 66 from gunbroker. I’m really excited. I have a smith already. I was thinking of Altamont wood grips, myself. I’ll probably just paint that front sight.
I’ve put about 500 rounds through my 66. It’s not as refined as my Smith, but I haven’t had any problems with it. I don’t care for the plunger set up on the cradle. You have to make sure that stays clean. Dirty powder on my reloads caused some minor malfunctions.
I want to see a judge wood grips on a tracker. You can buy a hi viz sight for a Smith and wesson to fit it. They come undrilled so you need to do that.
I think the placement of the lock is better than smith and Wesson on the side but I lock it when I travel or leave my hotel room that way I don’t arm the bad guy
Hogue makes a grip that works. For me I would prefer a wood grip for mine, but I am used to wood as my S&W model 29 has wood. I still use the original grips as they work well. It is personal preference as to what you like.
Put the Pachmayr grips on mine. Feels great. full grip. Amazing how much recoil the Pachmayr absorbs. Have had my Taurus since 2001 and never a problem.
I seen the pachmayr grips i didnt exactly think it would fit on the tracker 627........ Other videos i seen didnt have pachmayr grip on them you will be the first so surprise me and make a video of it on the tracker
There is no "finish" to take off. Altamont Grips. Judge fits Trackers. Jarawa on Ebay has a variety. I have one Altamont & 1 Jaruwan.p . Tape for "sticker" is available at auto parts store "reflective" tape.
I'm sorry , misspelled the company name changed above. JARUWAN.P store on eBay. Judge fits Tracker too. I like mine . There are a couple of different styles. Look carefully. Good product for the money.
I'm not sure to be honest. I haven't even looked for any type of speed loader for it. I use it mostly as a range gun so no real need. Thank you for the question!
It works yeah, it’s cheap yeah but no pride of ownership. If you want a revolver you can be proud of get a smith or a colt. They cost 4 x the Taurus in this part of the globe
People are proud of all kinds of things one man's treasure may be another's junk I think it looks badass and have heard a whole lot more good then bad in the reviews as for my self for the money I'm going to own one very soon I don't know yet until I get it if I think it can be done I' have a nice piece of cedar I'm going to try to make some grip pieces for it. If so I think it will look sweet?
