i often forget how good the animation was for darkwing duck.

Was binging this show. Did not expect a comeback for Taurus Bulba later in the show! Was a pretty terrifying comeback too! Wonder what it would be like to have Negaduck and Taurus team up. Unlikely though because Taurus did say he works for himself.

I still love the fact that he somehow constructed an airship underneath a prison, and pretty much lived there like it was his Villa, or something. he said it: "a Prison is the perfect hideout."

The question's been asked but I feel like the answer is obvious; Taurus Bulba would absolutely steer-handle Negaduck. The guy is basically unstoppable to Darkwing in most circumstances, and he read and played of DW's weaknesses from the second they met. NegaDuck not only has a lot of the same weaknesses, but more in that NegaDuck is infinitely easier to provoke and is too dedicated to his role to villain-y. Bulba is a genuine monster, and would sooner have NegaDuck smashed to bits than play the game of Cops and Robers NegaDuck and Darkwing are constantly playing.

That's a lot of bull, and a lot of villain. Not even FOWL, the duck equivalent of SPECTRE, can control him.

Truth be told this isn't the only time Tim Curry has played an anthropomorphic bull.

Next to NegaDuck Taurus Bulba was probably the Darkest villain in the show cause he made it clear that he was not against killing Goslyn

Bulba and Darkwarrior are gosalyn mallard worse nightmares and with good reason consider his goons killed her grandfather

Interesting note. The person who voices Taurus Bulba's assisant also voices Mr. Krabappel in The Simpsons.

Darkwing Duck villains are very good at being legit threats towards Darkwing, while also being wonderfully silly

rule number one if you turn someone superclever and strong person into a killing machine. Always put an on off button on them XD

For those who didn't get the idea, his name is a reference to Cossack colonel Taras Bulba (see Nikolay Vasil'evich Gogol')

This guy's the Wilson Fisk of Darkwing Duck. And now I wanna see Tim Curry play as Kingpin.

Even as a kid, I had a crush on Bulba's secretary Clovis. Too bad she's never seen again. Her final lines were hilarious though.

Since Taurus Bulba is confirmed to appear in the DuckTales reboot, I have something to say... Hey writers! You can add new twists to Bulba as you did with Negaduck if you want...However....please! Let Bulba keep the same level of evilness he had in the original Darkwing Duck show! Trust me this bovine mob boss is arguably one of Disney's darkest and devious villains ever did for television. Not sure if Tim Curry may be able to reprise his role as his VA, or the studio may have to another voice match for him...Your thoughts?

FYI, I believe his story was continued in the comics.

Take elements of Bane (especially when he's turned into a cyborg by FOWL), Robert G. Durant from the Darkman films, and Marvel comics kingpin...and you have Taurus Bulba. It's just me...but i have to admit if they ever do a spin off reboot from the current Ducktales show, i'd love to see what they'd do with Taurus Bulba and Negaduck...especially when they made Magica De spell such a badass.

Taurus Bulba was assumed to be dead because he went up in an Explosion do to Darkwing Duck when he caused an Overload of the Waddlemeyer Ramrod; A trachio-specific device that disrupts gravitational bonds and allows manipulation on a micro scale. In layman's terms, it makes objects and people float. It was created by Gosalyn’s Grandfather before he died from an “Unfortunate Accident” caused by Bulba’s goons. He taught her the Arming Code in the form of a Lullaby which is the colors of the controls in this order: 🟨🟦🟥🟦🟪🟪🟦🟪🟩🟨. Darkwing activated the Ramrod to cooperate in exchange for Gosalyn’s life. Bulba ordered Tantalus his pet Condor to drop her again. When he thought he’d won Darkwing attacked him. Launchpad saved her in the Thunder Quack. The overload of the Device caused the beam to hit his Goon’s Hoof, Mouth & Hammerhead Hannigan to float off. His Airship was struck by the beam too caused it to fall into the Bay & blew up. He underestimated Darkwing Duck but if Bulba was going down he planned to take Darkwing with him. After Darkwing survived he adopted Gosalyn becoming her legal Guardian.

Tim Curry also Ben Ravencroft in Scooby-Doo and and the Witch’s Ghost with Tress Macneille, Darth Sidous in Star Wars The Clone Wars, and Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol 1997.

I don't watch this show. I don't know this character. But I saw it in the thumbnail and just, out of the blue guessed from the face they made, "I bet they are voiced by Tim Curry." Then clicked. Bam.

It's especially funny when you think how Curry would later be one of the actors to play Dale the Whale on Monk, another criminal who would live luxuriously in prison.
