What is the reasoning behind running 100's and 100's of rounds through and not cleaning the fire arm? That really proves nothing to those who actually properly clean and maintain our guns. I've never understood why reviewers think that doing this really serves any purpose. If you go out to the range and shoot 200-300 rounds through your gun, you take it home and clean it.
Improper loading of them in the magazine will cause stoppages. The best prevention of failure to feed issues is using the speed load assist tool they provide. I've never can remember a failure to feed on the TX22 when I used the speed loader Taurus provides. The magazine load assist tool forces you to load the rounds properly so the rims go in the correct order. If you shoot lead nosed rounds, make sure to be diligent in cleaning it. The chamber/rifling on this handgun is more prone to leading up than others. I would say if you go through more than 200 rounds of lead nosed ammo, give the bore a cleaning for lead deposits.
You are free to do it, and I am free to disagree with having your young son shoot target practice at a human shaped target. My generation was taught a higher respect for human life and God's sovereignty than that.
