This appears to be an updated Guide Rod from Tandemkross. I emailed them the issue I was having initially and they sent me an updated version. I’m mailing to old one back but made a comparison video. Tandemkross has awesome customer service! They heard the voice of the consumer!

How low did you leave it in b4 you took it out bc of all the metal shavings. I found metal shavings thru out the gun after 40ish rds. Found the shavings was coming from the spring . As you could see the flat spors on the inside of the coils. Plus i got tired of the extremely loud slide after installing the stainless god rod.

I did all the tx22 tandemkross upgrades and it was well worth it. The trigger makes it much smoother. I like ur channel keep the vids coming.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I may try the trigger out next. About to head to the range to get some rounds though the updated Guide Rod from Tandemkross. So far the new version fits well and appears to not have any of the issues that the first version had.

The stock TX 22 works perfect , people and their “ upgrade” solutions for a problem that isn’t there. 🤷‍♀️

I actually got the Gen 2 version and am still seeing the return to battery issue. Just feels like the spring is a coil short. It's not as bad as the original but it is still there. It does not do it after the trigger is pulled but when the firearm is cocked it will ever so slightly not return to battery. Now under live fire I do not see this being an issue. If you were to place the TX22 on a table (On Safe) with a round chambered there is the potential for the slide to be bumped so that there is some slight set back. Still not 100% confident in this spring and guide rod combination.

Yep I'm contacting Taurus tomorrow and getting a replacement recoil spring

Flat springs are the only way to go after all I've seen.Taurus parts has both of these companies but only offers Lakeline. That tells me something.

Yea man it's deff a much much better product all over compared to there 1st guild rod assembly.. Feels like the spring is tighter to the guide rod..

Yes sir, the spring feels better with spring tension and it’s narrower. The buffer appears to be a polymer instead of rubber. They are a jam up company for addressing the issues and updating their product. Lifetime warranty. I am definitely impressed.

Tandemkross sent me a replacement but the one i got still have the same rubber buffer, i got in contact with them but they told me it's the updated version but just better material but on your video you said it's polymer and harder. Now i think they just sent me an old version.

That may be the case. The one they sent me was a much harder buffer and felt like a polymer type material not like the rubber buffer. Jesse B Outdoors also got the updated guide rod as well with the harder polymer type buffer. Check out his video. I would try to call or email them again. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fnEwqcuYfqo.html

Awesome review 💪. The tandem site does not say Gen 2 about the guide rod. I just ordered the tx22 and want the tk polymer buffer guide rod.

The lakeline recoil spring and guide rod is a better product.

My TX22 jammed about every round or two. I replaced the recoil rod with a metal one and it's much better, but I still don't trust it. It's a lemon.

OK, you now are the proud owner of a New Guide Rod aftermarket part that will Not Make your gun shoot better but you have satisfied your inner desire for Perfection just as many other Uneducated gun owners have done in the past! I don't mean to sound Nasty but I really hope you and many others have learned a lesson and just have Trust in the Engineers who have designed your gun for the ultimate performance without you people changing the Internal Parts! They are Professionals and you are NOT! Save your Money and enjoy your gun the way it was designed!

Good input didn't sound nasty at all. So, are most after-market parts designed and developed by engineers or not? Did you not say trust in the Engineers? Besides, aftermarket parts do not make your gun shoot better, aftermarket parts may or may not help with the functionality of the firearm though. Correct Marksmanship Fundamentals are key to shooting better.

If you have a TX22 it must be the only one that the original guide rod is not gouging the inside of the slide. Congratulations, I have two of these and both show gouging after the first hundred rounds. Jumping on this guy’s video and mocking him for being smart and changing what causes the issue ahead of time seems silly and childish. Thank you EZ Tactical for the update on your guide rod. Most of us appreciate your video!

I got my TX22 last year. All stock. Run probably 7-800 rounds of every type of ammo. It runs great. But, I keep it clean and clean after every use. My buddy got one at same time. His was constantly jamming. I looked at it and said shit…do you ever clean it? We cleaned it and guess what? Runs like a raped ape now. Honestly, I’ve never had any problems with it. I also use Lucas extreme duty grease on the slides. Smooth as silk
