Under the current circumstances, Biden's tax credit proposal would be immediately inflationary. It would pull the rug out from new buyers after two years possibly leading to an increase in mortgage defaults. What is needed is an increase in the housing supply so that prices come down. I don't foresee any politicians supporting any policies where they might be blamed for lowering property vales.
