@@Meight50five Hmmm🤔 do you have any minnows left? I think you’re supposed to start with some, or maybe they’re in the locker. I know minnows are the best bait to use. I’m just not sure what else to do. I’m sorry that it’s not working for you. I wish I could help.

@@user-wp6pl1rs4d there isn’t anything to learn. You have to catch a small mouth bass in order to progress on the mission when you get to the bridge. I sat there for two hours using all types of bait in different locations. Every walkthrough of this mission they use a minnow and catch a small mouth bass immediately. The game is just trash on console.

If you’re still struggling, use the beginner rod, go back to the starting locating (Diamond’s Peak Outpost) and fish of the dock where you order a boat. You don’t have to catch a fish at the bridge or use the rod it makes you set up.

@chrisdiamond8136 I thought the same (even caught multiple fish prior - still would not pass the mission task)... Playing from GamePass Ultimate with PC over here. If you notice, @bigfatllama selects from 2 sets of size 10 hooks when creating the rod... I suggest trying to purchase a size 10 hook from the shop, and re-rigging the rod with the new hook. I went back to the bridge with the new set of size 10 hooks and reeled a nice smallmouth in... This seemed to work for mine (1 hour of tinkering later). Best of of luck y'all!

I just finished the class I caught both of mine from the dock on the slowest reel speed.

My game is bugged too on PS5. I can’t advance in the missions. I must catch another fish and 100 fishes later,no changes....

Ok bigfattlama. Problem solved. This game is really tricky. It was not a bug. I changed my no.7 hook to a no.9 and i passed through! Using the Maiden rod. Great now i am level 11 and i passed the warden to my next mission! Changing a hook can make a huge difference in your success. I had a fish bite right after the cast! Boy was i happy??? 😊

Yes you can go underneath but you need to be close enough to the marker that it disappears. Make sure you are tracking the marker

You can switch equipment with the quick menu, it will tell which button in the 'Basic Controls' section of your journal

I've tried to set this up on Xbox One too. Even if you follow all instructions, it doesn't work. Feels pointless playing at the minute.

Make sure the correct rod is selected. It reverts back to slot 1 after you travel to the location

I just went there now and caught a smallmouth bass on a size 7 with a leach at around 18:00 if that helps
