midnights is finally here & i literally can’t believe it!!! my reaction to the whole album will be up soon but i really wanted to teach this song as soon as i could because it is an early favorite and the first single from the album :)
no matter how much taylor changes her sound, one thing will always be the same and that is her simple chord progressions, which i am so grateful for :) beyond the production of this song, we have our classic tswift chords and a basic strumming pattern that we know & love!!

Depends on... _Lavender Haze_ seems to have been written around her own voice, so it's right there where she sounds so natural, when it goes high it's her falsetto, which are super soothing, when goes low it's not too low like Exile... I think she's probably gonna perform it *a lot* (yaaay 😉🥰) _Maroon_ is very romantic balad-y, it falls in the _Wildest Dreams_ and _All To Well_ ballpark _Anti-Hero_ I agree is very difficult, because it starts with belting, than it lowers, than it belts again, has many sorts of flips and transitions, very complex... kinda anxious to see how it's gonna turn out live, really! 😀

I was very unprepared for how much this album challenges me and I love it so much. Thank you for the lesson. This is the song that destroys as it rebuilds me. It really is the most intense track I have heard in a long time. And subtle too.

Awesome video! When I play this song I use chords F, C, G, and Am with a capo on the fourth fret. I find this the easiest way to play the song. The chord transitions are fast.
