Taylor Swift wrote the song as a response to the media calling her a psycho serial dater. She basically just embraced what everyone was calling her and made a song and music video about it.
She has actually dated normal amount of guys but media always twisted everything. They even said she dated Ed when he and her were having friendly vacation with her family...
Even if she dates dozens what is the fxcking issue in it !! Its not like she has kids or something she was single and free and independent , if she didn't find an ideal dude for her its her thing . The media just wants rachet shit to run channels that's it
This! She’s dated what, maybe a dozen or so famous guys over the course of nearly 15 years? I dated more guys than that in my 4 years at college and she’s averaged less than one guy per year but everyone thinks she’s a serial dater. 🙄
No literally like why do people care so much about the amount of people girls chose to date like even if Taylor dated like 15 guys like it’s not that “horrible” . Her dating 9 guys is not bad at all. People can be so judgey
I believe the issue with ppl is that all those guys were famous, if they were just regular non celebrities ppl would hardly even know about most of them
She actually is trolling herself. The way media portrayed her as a psycho lover/wh*re/sl*t/serial dater... she used it to write this song... she was like y'all think of me like that... there we go I'll write a song about it and fulfill your wish.
The lyrics of the song deal in a satirical way with the press' obsession with Taylor Swift's romantic relationships. According to Swift, she wrote the song in response to the media's perception of her as a serial dater who writes songs as a way to achieve some sort of “emotional revenge” on her former boyfriends.
she created a character based on what the media and the general people are saying about her. that's not how her personality is at all but she thought it was interesting to write a song based on that character.
Taylor combined all the elements of a crazy woman portrayed by the media about herself and thought the character drawn on her was very interesting, so she decided to write a song from that character's perspective. 1) She didn't date as many guys as you think she did. 2) She's actually a very charming and calm woman. 3) You might've heard of her many feuds with other celebrities but if you looked into it, most of the time it was other celebrities who picked on her. 4) Taylor Swift's "squad" that is never real. Apparently her guy friends are her boyfriends and girl friends are her squad, as if she cant have normal friendships with any gender.
Probably my favorite reaction to a Taylor Swift video -ever! Lol I know you guys would like the rest. ALL HER VIDEOS are like mini-movies - Bad Blood , You Need To Calm Down , End Game (she raps with Future & Ed Sheehan) , and Look What You Made Me Do (clapback at issues with Kanye & Kim) - you guys won't regret watching and i would LOVE to watch the reactions
She's playing into the way the media portrayed her in this video. One reporter once said "she's going through guys like a train" when really she was just dating different men, as many people do when their young By the way you should watch her 'bad blood' music video you will love it
taylor swift is actually a massive sweetie. The songs is basically what the media paint her, as a serial lover and playboy and that she's crazy but really no, she's not. It's all normal, she just has it tough cos the spotlight is on her always
taylor wrote blank space to portray the character the media makes her out to be, since they think she’s a serial dater when she’s dated less people than most of her exes have dated. she’s not ✨actually✨ like this, she’s just writing from the media’s perspective of her
But - hopefully to cut off this line of crit beforehand - primarily about a very *specific* kind of man. I mean, the phrase "not all men" sort of makes me cringe, but I'd appreciate if the people who used it about Real Issues would apply it to something actually applicable (aka, The Man).
Bixgirl1 life would be much easier if sexism only existed in a specific kind of man. but it doesn’t. and actually the song is not about the types of men. it’s more about the privileges of being a man in our society.
@@user-bm2it6ns3g @Camila Magalhaes I disagree in part but that's my fault for being unclear in my initial comment. You're right that the song itself is an address to the double standards of casual, misogynistic privilege. I perhaps should have said the video. At this point I've seen...god, it's got to be at least a dozen male reactors who've gotten offended and said some form of "Does she think all men are like this?!" (Referring, of course, to The Man character in the vid, who is a very specific archetype of male.) Having enjoyed this reaction, I sought to forestall hearing that again. Simple mistake. 😊
This song is a comedy that Taylor wrote. She didn't date a lot of guys. She dated a normal amount. But society (and the media) say that women are whores if they have more than one boyfriend, and Taylor was "insane" and "writes about her relationships" (what do male musicians write about?), so Taylor made this song and video as a joke: "OK, I'm insane."
the media and people always made out like all taylor does it date guys. and because they only lasted a few months they painted her out to clearly be in the wrong since they are not working out longer than 3 months...so she wrote a song from that perspective. that character basically.
I am enchanted by your intro every time I watch your videos... you guys are splendid with your beatboxing and rapping skills its unique and makes me wanna vibe everytime...
I love the word play that you can discover even after your 20th listen. Small things like, “I can make all the tables turn”. There are three levels to that one. The one in the story itself, like she’s turning the tables on her boyfriend. The jab at the media portrayal of her- she’s taking the things they say about her, turning it into art and throwing it back in their face. Finally, she’s saying she can make the “tables turn” with her music (like record player turn tables). It’s so clever and I love her for it.
Taylor used her talent to call out media and people who called her with many stupid names just because she's so vocal on her dating life. She dated a normal amount of "boys" and non of them can even be called as "man" (aside from Taylor Lautner, i guess) and to think of it, those boys dated A LOT OF GIRLS before/after her. She even said that this is her favorite album she ever released because like damn, the sarcastic lyrics and the way she called out her haters made her the first ever Artist to get number 1's from the same album, her power.
Alright, you guys got me. I love watching TS reaction videos. I can’t wait to see you do the rest of them! I’m subscribing. I want to request that you watch the most ridiculously entertaining Thug Story 😂
Theirs a reason why she's the 4th best selling female of ALL TIME. Named Artist of the decade, has more AMA's than Michael Jackson, She's broken more than 150+ world records in Music. She's the only youngest artist on Billboard artist of all time. One of the greatest songwriter ever. Taylor is a Legend and Icon
Just noticed something that had gone over my head before… In the picnic scene, she’s laying there literally “eating.hearts”.😅 Fun fact- The clicking sound she makes after singing, “I’ve got a blank space, baby…” is meant to be the sound of a pen clicking.
Self parody perfected hahahaha Also that guy (sorry, I'm new here don't know his name)looking genuinely put out that the lads were ruining the song for him 🤣🤣🤣
Taylor actually didn't date many guys. She dated a normal amount of people! It may seem like alot. But you also have to remember she has been in the spotlight since she was like 15. So yes we are going to see dating and breakups. It's just the media that has it all twisted. That is exactly what this song is about. She said this was her easiest song to write, since the media basically had it's own thought about Taylor. So she just made it into a hit single song.
I hate when people say “Taylor swift has dated so many guys”. Ok if we want to go down that road, let’s take a look at some of the male singers, shall we?? The media made it seem like she dated so many guys and that’s why she wrote this song and it blew up. So thanks to the media, she made money off of it. But it will always remain a sexist remark when people say she’s dated so many guys.
I’m a new subscriber and I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!!! Love how you make a song with her song!!!! BRILLIANT!!! Maybe she’ll do a collaboration with you!!!!!
You guys are so funny!! Taylor made this song making fun of herself and how the media talks about her love life. You guys need to watch her Netflix documentary so you can get to know her personality and how awesome she is😎 I also recommend the Reputation tour, but you can start out with the first 2 songs of that which are Ready for it? and I did something bad! Can’t wait to see your reaction to those🤣😂
3:20 guys she wasn't dating that much guys .. oki ?!! It's the Image that media drew .. wich is not true and made a lot of damage in her life ...so let's not bring up to life again and leave her alone .. live her life and focus on her art not by the boys she dated in the past
