I love that the rest of the phone call was leaked showing how Kanye and Kim lied and edited the video. People finally saw Taylor was telling the truth the whole time.
This is a great reaction! This music video is probably the one with the most symbolism out of her whole career. After being cancelled from the whole world because of that Kim/Kanye feud, and after being called a snake, a fake person, slut-shamed and greedy, she disappeared from the media for at least a year, and then came up with the most iconic comeback of pop culture. Every single thing in this video is intentional. Literally every scene is addressing something related to her reputation and the media’s perception of herself. Her mind scares me, honestly.
You guys should really listen to reputation in its entirety, she talks about how she fell in love with Joe well being cancelled back in 2016, it’s a beautiful album
At 4:10 the dress from out of the wood video. At 4:42 the dress from her last met Gala as last time Taylor seen in public media etc. The bathtub with diamonds and has a single 1$ as she won the case of groping .
The video is for Kanye, Kim, Calvin Harris, katy perry (the grammy and the cheetah scene), Big machine records, the scene of the bank represents when she take off her music from streaming apps and people said she only wants more money, the part of the models represent her old squad of supermodels, and there's a lot of many other clues and Easter eggs than even at this point we didn't find all of them (Taylor said that)...
It’s a different sound but you should listen to innocent and hear the lyrics. It’s the response for the VMA incident back in 2009. In rep she is just mad, but she forgave him once..
What was sad about the KW situation was at the end when someone asked her, her face was so sad , she said K.W was one of the 1st albums she bought, she at 1st thought he was there to congratulate her, it was so sad
With respect, when one of you guys said this video “exposed her character.” I disagree. I think it exposed one aspect of her character- who she could be when people hurt/attacked her but, based on what I’ve seen/researched, the person Taylor most naturally is is the girl you see when she’s playing the guitar/piano, interacting with her fans, the “behind the scenes” moments. I said “researched” because, several months ago, I started asking myself the question of why is T. Swift so big? Who, what and why is she? (I knew who she was of course, but never listened to her music, watched interviews, etc. What I’ve found is a big-hearted, old soul, who is many things- poet, performer, advocate for artists, someone who genuinely cares for her fans, etc. She’s by no means perfect of course (she!s a human being like the rest of us). She has her issues, makes mistakes… All that stuff. But, for the most part, she owns that as well, which makes me like her even more. Thanks for your reactions! I really enjoy them!
