this is like an alto’s dream. it’s a breath of fresh air, considering a lot of modern pop songs are performed by females that happen to be mezzos or sopranos with a strong mix in their upper range.
I transpose higher all the time. I fall in the category of bad singer. Can't hit the low notes, can't hit the high ones, and somehow Taylor hits both in this song😂
I don’t know this song but you have the best content for learning how to sing and karaoke, I think you deserve more love then likes. You have done an amazing job sing king keep up the great work!
When I first listened to the song I was like "Oh, this is easy. I'll cover this song". But the low notes are killing me I got everything else right it's just the low notes that are my problem and I mess up the pitch if I use the higher key instrumentals😕
@@parasmani506 TBH I practiced this song for about 4-5 days and the low notes really did improve. I have this trick which I do it is called the ‘happy thoughts method’ . What I do is when there is a low note I think of happy things like sunsets, trees, piano , etc . and I don’t lean my chin down . Happy thoughts will take your mind off the pressure on your voice while singing low notes . Anyway have a nice day . I’m sure you will improve. 😊😊
Try hitting the lower notes when you have cold and your voice has become heavy. 😂😂😂 That's what I do...and yeah.. sometimes.... It doesn't sound that bad.
To kiss in cars and downtown bars Was all we needed You drew stars around my scars But now I'm bleedin' 'Cause I knew you Steppin' on the last train Marked me like a bloodstain, I I knew you Tried to change the ending Peter losing Wendy, I I knew you Leavin' like a father Running like water, I And when you are young, they assume you know nothing But I knew you'd linger like a tattoo kiss I knew you'd haunt all of my what-ifs The smell of smoke would hang around this long 'Cause I knew everything when I was young I knew I'd curse you for the longest time Chasin' shadows in the grocery line I knew you'd miss me once the thrill expired And you'd be standin' in my front porch light And I knew you'd come back to me You'd come back to me And you'd come back to me And you'd come back
**Verse 1:** Vintage coat, borrowed car, City lights, we’ve come so far. When you’re young, they think you know nothing. Faded jeans, reckless smiles, We were lost for a little while. When you’re young, they think you know nothing. **Pre-Chorus:** But I knew you, Sneaking out to meet me, Midnight on the backstreets, I I knew you, Holding me in secret, Swore we wouldn’t keep it, I **Chorus:** And when I felt like I was a forgotten song, In a dusty vinyl crate, You put me on and sang along, Told me I was great. **Verse 2:** Golden days, endless nights, Whispers in the pale moonlight. When you’re young, they think you know nothing. Silent prayers, hidden tears, Dancing through our tangled fears. When you’re young, they think you know nothing. **Pre-Chorus:** But I knew you, Trading jokes and secrets, Running through the rain, I I knew you, Laughing till the sunrise, Bringing me alive, I **Chorus:** And when I felt like I was a broken toy, In a box beneath the bed, You found me there, and with your joy, Brought me back from the dead. **Bridge:** To hold your hand, to feel your touch, Was all we ever needed. You traced your dreams upon my heart, But now I'm left here bleeding. **Pre-Chorus:** 'Cause I knew you, Sneaking out to meet me, Midnight on the backstreets, I I knew you, Holding me in secret, Swore we wouldn’t keep it, I **Chorus:** And when I felt like I was a forgotten song, In a dusty vinyl crate, You put me on and sang along, Told me I was great. **Outro:** But I knew you'd haunt me with your gentle kiss, I knew you'd linger in my every wish. The scent of you would stay for years, Through all the laughter and the tears. I knew I'd dream of you in quiet times, See your face in every rhyme. I knew you'd come back when the thrill expired, And you'd be standing in the evening light. And I knew you'd come back to me, You'd come back to me, And you'd come back to me, And you'd come back. And when I felt like I was a broken toy, In a box beneath the bed, You found me there, and with your joy, Brought me back from the dead.
