I feel like the instrumental has a band type feel to it and it kind of connects to you belong w me since she was a band kid. Not funny I didn't laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me thejoke. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Come to think of it, 1989 is not as pristine of an album as I first thought. Especially when I remember Bad Blood and How You Get The Girl exists. They only make sense to be on the tracklist to fit the concept album experience a.k.a. the liner notes story.

I think Afterglow is a really great song, but I don't really like it in the album, if that makes sense. Idk its placement in the 3rd leg of the album is weird and it's too close to Daylight and sounds too similar to it. I like it more as a song on its own. I honestly feel like if Afterglow wasn't on the album, people would have thought Daylight is better.

Sarah Shen I see your point, but I think the message of the song is better made on False God, a song which also has sexual innuendo but takes the idea of reconciling through sex to more interesting places, has more interesting and sexier production, and sort of stands out in comparison.

The Archer was my fav track on the album by far. What I don’t understand is that he liked it in his track review but trashed the other singles, yet put The Archer under “Worst tracks”

Because at least those songs are fun, so they have one thing going for them. That's one more thing than the archer has

Wes Rambo Nah Archer has fantastic production, catchy hook, meaningful lyrics, good vocals, etc. Most Taylor songs don’t have half that. If the Humpty Dumpty line wasn’t in it, Fantano would have no complaints
