40 year old Mexican man. First time hearing this song today on our "Muzak" at work and I cried. Made me think of my wife. Never really knew Taylor Swift's songs. But wow, what a beautiful song. Respect.
@@misspiggy6667 same it was okay not the best it just felt like she wasnt really being her true self like we all know her to be her angelic little self
Ppl being like "imagine being loved by Taylor Swift that deep" Dude I don't ask for that much. Only seeing her, and making her know that I exist is enough. MOOD
Whenever I listened to Taylor Swift in the past it was a bit of a guilty pleasure and I've not really paid her that much attention - just the odd hit on the radio now and then. HOWEVER, I'm now realising what an incredibly gifted songwriter she is. This song is simply stunning, as is All Too Well, and many of her other recent works. To maintain a career at the level she has and for the length of time she has is no mean feat. And it's all because of the quality of her writing. She is genuinely a rare and exceptional talent. All that success is very well deserved, well done Taylor!
Am I the I only one who likes this simpler version? Her angelic voice just dominates! I wasn't incredibly fond of her until I heard some of her more recent work. She's again like a fine wine. When I first heard this song I had a "that's Taylor Swift?! Wow!!! She sounds amazing" moment. Such a beautiful song!
@@Orvvv200 you're talking to an audio engineer, no need to explain what a reverb is... In what I do, our ears are literally trained to spot the tiniest hint of artificial tuning. There is a plug-in called Auto-Tune Live, which does exactly the same thing but with very low latency, that's used live by every major pop artist out there. I'm not saying she can't sing, but this is very clearly tuned. Just because it's live doesn't mean there is no enhancements going on. Her voice is compressed, EQ'd, and has pitch correction.
* Lyrics * We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January And this is our place, we make the rules And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you dear Have I known you 20 seconds or 20 years? Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home You're my, my, my, my Lover We could let our friends crash in the living room This is our place, we make the call And I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you I've loved you three summers now, honey, but I want 'em all Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home (forever and ever) You're my, my, my, my Lover Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand? With every guitar string scar on my hand I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover My heart's been borrowed and yours has been blue All's well that ends well to end up with you Swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me And at every table, I'll save you a seat, lover Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home (forever and ever) You're my, my, my, my Oh, you're my, my, my, my Darling, you're my, my, my, my Lover
speak now era: ...now im searching the room for an empty seat lover era: ...and at every table, i’ll save you a seat ladies and gentlemen, she’s finally found him. 💛
You know you’re powerful when you can ask BBC to come to you instead of coming to their studio and did 6 songs when most artists only did 2 songs. Love her or hate her, you can’t deny how big she is. She’s THE MAN!!

She’s so talented!! My fiancé and I are playing this song for our first wedding dance in October. It would sound even more amazing if it were live but this is so beautiful!
Slow music like that she can sing live, but in her shows she edit the oficial versions, if u look for Madonna live versions u can compare and understand
I'm unable to understand that how can someone hate this woman? She's the best singer songwriter performer businesswoman. She's smart hardworking intelligent and beautiful she deserves all the love and respect. I feel blessed that I'm enjoying her music
Sure.. I know you will be Surprised Though.. But Thanks so much for getting back to me again dear, i will give you a V.I.P ticket because i can see that you are my good fan, well i dont really come on here much dear, can you give me your phone number so that i can send you a text message and you need to promise me that you will never share my details with anyone if that is fine with you.
I remember singing "Love Story" on a family friend's wedding. I was 19 then..... now I'm 30, be singing "Lover" on my own wedding, next year!! Psyched!!!! Update: Thank you for the love, everyone ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I'm pretty sure they do always do some post editing on these productions, like with her Grammy museum ones. Listen to "table" for example, at 2:54, and you can hear it pretty clearly. This isn't me hating on her at all. This song is my favorite song from Lover and I wouldn't expect her to sing flawlessly anyway.
You know why she's talented ? Because she wrote this song herself, and can sing it. She doesn't need a lot of ghostwritters, unlike a lot of artists nowadays. Oh and by the way, this song received acclaim from critics.
I don't understand people who hate her, say she can't sing, come on, This is so good She said it herself, haters are gonna hate, that's it. She is talented, happy and loved, that's something they can't take away
I first heard this playing at the Mall when shopping, and I thought that is just such a catchy tune, but you've got to have the voice to make it work. Beautiful!
The best part about this performance is she doesn’t just sing the song, she feels it and most definitely means it. That smile and look in her eyes, you can tell she’s thinking of the person she wrote it for! That’s the face of true & honest love.
David Osias wait what?! so you mean Nazis can’t love now? jk I’m indian, google swastikas they have different meaning, Hitler merely used it as a symbol of his party but it has nothing to do with his beliefs.
Not a big fan of her but I think this is one of my favorite songs, beautiful melody, lyrics, and everything. Thank you Taylor Swift for making this song ^^
Nostalgic... nothing else can be more toxic than listening to her sweet voice. It's been more than a decade now, still her every song sounds so lively and fresh. She is pure addiction..!
I’m going to be honest , I don’t usually like her music , maybe when she very , very first came onto the scene . But I have to admit , I absolutely love this song ! Good job .
Fell for ‘love story’ at ten, sticking with lover at 21 still Side note: people who think its “edgy” to hate on TS, you are not impressing anyone I swear. Not even close.
I don't know why but this made me cry. For me this is one of her best stage performances I have ever seen. It just took me to another world. The fact that i am writing this because her voice reached out to my heart and i just felt this song. I love you Taylor❤
Those notes are not THAT high to pull off. Many Pop singers can pull them off effortlessly, RnB singers are far more vocally good than most Pop singers
This isn’t auto tune... she has come along way vocally! Study her vocals from 10 years again vs now! She has grown as a vocalist during her live performances!
@Crebs Park I get why you spread hate on her, because *there's a dazzling haze on her talent* , for that go and watch her Reputation Stadium Tour so the haze will gone, then open your ugly mouth bitch
I posted a raw cover of this song onto my RU-vid. I would really appreciate if you took a look. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D7aXj_ipEmU.html 💫🙏
Everything about this live performance is golden. The instruments, the amazing ladies who sing the background vocals (look how they shine, I love them!) , and Taylor who just gets better and better throughout the years that I've been listening to her music. ❤️ So much love for this wonderful and talented lady.
@@elmiralustiva7593 I agree, it was a beautiful performance, full of emotion, but on tour, she does flawless and powerful vocals that she didn't do here, like we can't that it is vocally the best of her, have you seen "don't blame me" on tour ??
@@jaxchiro Taylor does live. She does it all the time especially if it's acoustic like this. So I have no doubt about this performance. There's just probably a pitch corrector or even maybe a lil auto tune but it's live.
