I cannot believe that she straight up had this song like 98% finished the first time she ever sat down and worked on it. Like there’s hardly anything that ended up changing. She is a legend!
I just can't over, "I take this magnetic force -- oh f*** -- I take this magnetic force of man to be my lover" It's so funny to me and I love how real it sounds😂🥰
No wait - is this how it works? - You play and create this - incredible testament and ode for lovers - and I get to sit and listen to how it was revealed? Absolutely thank-you very much.
[Spoken] Writing the song "Lover" was one of those magical experiences That you sometimes get to have as a songwriter Um, I wrote it really quick in the middle of the night As soon as I wrote it, I knew I wanted it to be the album title And I knew that writing it kinda would depict the tone Of the entire record So it was a real catalyst for what this album turned into And I wrote it alone, so I wanted to go in and play it for Jack Antonoff Who I knew who would be the perfect person to produce it And so I walked into the studio and I sat in the piano And this is what happened So it is, it's basically I don't see it as a piano I think it's that like, kinda of, dreamy, guitary, throwback But not like camp throwback So [Sung] We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January This is our place, we make the rules And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you, dear Have I known you 20 seconds or 20 years? Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, take me home You're my, my, my, my lover... [Spoken] Yeah, I love the walk down I love the walk down I was trying to figure out "what the hell is gonna happen there" So the, so [Sung] My, my, my, my lover We could let our friends crash on the couches This is our place, we make the call And I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you I've loved you three summers now, honey, but I want 'em all Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home You're my, my, my, my lover... [Spoken] Okay and then I have this bridge thing That's um, essentially Well, no I was I did, I did it in this key But it could be this thing like a Key change So it plays off of the walk down-ish But it's, this is the melody of it, it goes, it's like [Sung] Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand? With every guitar string scar on my hands I take this magnetic force Oh, fuck I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover My heart's been borrowed and yours has been blue All's well that ends well to end up with you Swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me [Spoken] Wait so goes like [Sung] And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me And at every table, I'll save you a seat [Spoken] So goes, and you, it goes [Sung] And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me My heart's been borrowed your heart's been blue All's well that ends well to end up with you Swear to be overdramatic Swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me And at every table, I'll save you a seat [Spoken] You like? Yeah! I've never, I never do these cords, but, I was really at the piano, like, hashing it out yesterday
thanks a lot for this, but I am a little bit confused about “I don’t see it as piano,it’s kanda dreamy guitary throwback ,but not camp throwback “,what does it mean 😿?
I listened to this song about 15-20 times a day when it first came out. It is a shuffle / waltz and it repeats the same 3 chords over and over, but each time it's a little different until the bridge - it's relaxed but it's exuberant - its a slow burn that gains momentum with each measure - love is so simple - everything in this world deeply understands and lives by it - this song reflects that - it's a song of exhilaration, commitment and resolution but it's fun and deep and sincere just like love itself. It's also deceptively simple, like all great art it has been made to sound so easy, but in reality this can only be sung and played by only the very best of the best. Make no mistake this is one of those eternal classics and it will only grow more and more magnificent as time carries it from lover to lover. Did we really get to hear this the day after it was created? I love the way the bridge was modified for the final release. This is being sung with such genuine emotion that you would have to be twice dead plucked up by the roots to not be moved by it. Bravo - a long standing 0 for lover.
@@narvin8701 Agreed, although I have also seen it notated as 12/8. It sounds like four beats to the bar with a rock solid 3 feel underneath. I have heard this also called a shuffle,

Ah, my wedding song. This came out just as I met my now husband, whom I love dearly, my angel. We’ll be planning the religious ceremony soon and I can’t wait to cry and slow dance to this all over again.
For anyone else that loves to compare to the final lyrics: We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January And this is our place, we make the rules And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you dear Have I known you 20 seconds or 20 years? Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home You're my, my, my, my Lover We could let our friends crash in the living room This is our place, we make the call And I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you I've loved you three summers now, honey, but I want 'em all Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home (forever and ever) You're my, my, my, my Lover Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand? With every guitar string scar on my hand I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover My heart's been borrowed and yours has been blue All's well that ends well to end up with you Swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me And at every table, I'll save you a seat, lover Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home (forever and ever) You're my, my, my, my Oh, you're my, my, my, my Darling, you're my, my, my, my Lover

In the back the gates of happiness,it says, quite wisely that you should compose yourself as such, that only drink alcohol when you're toasting an toast by the host, and yet another rabbi said although not rabbi Feldman, that you should never drink from your unattended drink not even for a minute eye's on literally watch your drink never drink from an open bottle
@@Aviethebest Taylor did the of Lover by herself, like you can see in this audio.. But she knew that Jack would made the right decision to produce this. Why are u mad? He is talented. And Taylor know it.
