not knowing what she was talking about in this song when it was first released (for me) vs me being in her shoes when she rereleased it (& understanding it fully) rly was a whole thing to experience. this song is so amazing especially for those trying to find words about similar experiences
BTW, you're one of the only people reacting to her songs and actually LISTENING to the lyrics! That's why you're the best! Thank you for your reaction :)
Hilarious how you mention One Tree Hill because Stephen Colletti, the male lead in the video, was on OTH (he was also on MTV's Laguna Beach). And Tyler Hilton, the male lead in the Teardrops on my Guitar video was also a One Tree Hill cast member lol
Fearless won AOTY but I still find it so underrated - she wrote all this when she was 17/18 like howwwww!!! 💖 My other favourite from Fearless is 'Change' - specially the ACM performance where she hits a 14 second high note and bursts into crazy dance! Love her 💖
I had never heard that one, well I have now. Even back then she really knew how to put on a show. I can't believe that last half where her dress comes off and she is wearing pants, which is a little similar to when she performed "Should've Said No" at the AMC's, where she started out in jeans and a hoodie, and then the surprise quick change.
Fifteen is a favorite of mine. I maybe 76 now but listening to the Taylor's Version of it, it evoked feelings and emotions I felt at that age! She is such a very good artist!
one thing i love about taylor's career is that we've seen her age appropriately, she didn't start her career and then immediately jump to the sexy persona at 23 (i have nothing against that, just pointing that she didn't do what industry forces most female artists to do) she really aged in front of our eyes like most females do and that might also be why people don't think she aged, she did it slower
hearing it for the first time, I think that's understandable. But I hope that if he's going to listen to this song again, he'll listen to TV instead of this version.
I was watching "Grey's Anatomy" one night, and "White Horse" came on. I had paid no attention at all to Taylor Swift up to this point. Then I heard this song. And I was taken aback. I didn't even know who it was. But that was the beginning of my great love of Taylor, and her sweet, brilliant, heart.
Great track 5. Can’t wait for your reactions to You’re Not Sorry, Mr Perfectly Fine, Tell Me Why, The Way I Loved You… Once you’ve done with the album I highly recommend you to react to Journey To Fearless. It’s the Fearless tour but also have behind the scenes and interview with Taylor
Agreed that Taylor writes songs fitting her age. Even in folklore when she wrote in the perspective of a young child (seven) and a teenager (Betty), they don't feel odd because the songs feel reminiscent. And she's hella good too.
When I hear this song I go back to when it was first released. I was 13 or 14 and had my first “boyfriend” and would listen to this song on the school bus when I was sad about him😂😂
It does feel like a teenage dreamdy haha. the Fearless Taylor's Version of all the Fearless songs are so good! it's fun to listen to them both and see the difference in her vocals. hope you'll react to Taylor's Version as well. maybe next to each other. like this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9cQjOPKbpfc.html
I'm Taylor's age and this song felt super big and important to me when it came out. It still gets to me probably because of that, great video. Also, I also remember One Tree Hill and I agree the video is pure teen show.
These are some of the other great songs on fearless The way I loved you Forever and always (piano version) And also You all over me and mr. Perfectly fine (from the vault) And please listen to the Taylor's versions💕
eh, about her memories of High School -- after her first album dropped (she was in the 10th Grade), she home schooled the rest of it. She did her homework in the rental car, the airports, and the hotel rooms while she was doing a 6 month radio tour (w/ Mom); then she spent the summer opening for various country acts until Rascal Flats asked her to take Eric Church's place permanently. She kept in touch as much as possible with her friends, though . You might watch these interviews, they were originally broadcast on Great American Country : Taylor Swift - A Place In This World (2006 GAC Full Show) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--XeYWbNxnrg.html @25 min and this from 2 years later -- a fan Q & A (audio is not the best) Taylor Swift on GAC part 1[2008 top 20 countdown] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vmErGD8Prk8.html @5 min Taylor Swift on GAC part 2 [more of 2008 interview] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GHK2mPwxXFk.html @4 min Taylor Swift on GAC part 3 [ end of the show] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B0CkAyreHlw.html / less than a minute
im glad youre reacting to fearless now! would be cool to see your reactions to taylor's version though, still a great video and can't wait for the rest!
You've done Breathe and Fifteen? Are you still in the middle of uploading them, I can't find them lol? Of the three personally Breathe is my favourite.
It's okay if it's a music video. I still listen to the originals. The whole purpose of her recording Taylors versions is so she owns them not so we don't have to listen to the originals.
sir... please don't listen to the old version... We no longer support anything that's not Taylor's Version.... there's an entire Taylor's version of this album.
