Taylor explains the song in the way she uses clothes and trends to symbolize how love lasts. Seasons come and go, and clothes aren’t always ‘in,’ but there is always the little black dress or the suit that just never go out of fashion. She said this song was about that one love that you feel nostalgic and anxious about when you draw on its memories, you could imagine that past lover to be the one to walk into your wedding uninvited and raise contentions. The passion of that love is gone, but you know they’ll always have that place in your heart.

He wasn't really unfaithful. In the beginning when they started seeing each other, harry was seen kissing a girl but their relationship mainly ended because of the media because they were both at the peak of their careers at the time and the media never left them alone. She talks about it a lot in her songs on 1989. Taylor never really wrote a song blaming harry. She explained how she felt during the relationship at the Grammy museum out of the woods performance which you should react to btw. She told that she main feeling she felt during the relationship was anxiety.

Taylor wrote Our of The Woods also about their relationship. She talks a bit about the inspiration behind the song in the Grammy Museum performance which is worth reacting to because it is very different from the album and video version. Another thing about the eyes on the road; they did actually crash. Probably why One Direction had Harry in an ambulance in "Night changes" :P I don't necessarily think media drove them apart. Sometimes things just don't last more than a few months and that's ok.

it does take so much courage. and the world liked to pick on her heart and personality. say shes playing victim or that shes the problem. so low of them to be so mean and drag someone when they would never do that, they dont know how its like to be so raw and real and share to the world. the world. lol. also on the song "new romantics" she says "please leave me stranded, its so romantic". and here in this video for style, she is stranded. and he comes back to pick her up.

harry wasnt unfaithful. if he is then she was too considering she said “i’ve been there too a few times” at the end of the verse. thats the point of the song. they break up - they get back together again. he was with other girls when they broke up but eventually they got back together.
