She’s not just receiving hate in 2016 literally she’s been receiving it her entire career about her voice, her reaction to winning awards, her love life, wether her successful albums have anything to do with male producers to the point where she just breathe and people still come for her neck, just like she said “whatever you said it isn’t right, whatever you do it isn’t good enough”. Anyway reputation is the most powerful and iconic comeback ever, love her or hate her you gotta admit it.

Kim Kardashian is big mad at Taylor because her grownass husband is obsessed with Taylor lmao. That woman is very transparent. Also, she's the least believable person in the celebrity world but because people would rather hate on Taylor Swift, the public chose to believe the very obvious heavily edited clips when they first dropped. The first thing I said when I saw them was "why are they cut up so awkwardly? Why did she need to edit so much out?" Then rolled my eyes and immediately knew Kim K. was lying.

Honestly I think Taylor is grateful for what happened after it all, cause it gave her the strength to not give a damn what people think of her. That's something many people (including her music peers) can't even do. I'd be grateful for such a hard lesson tbh.

The fact that this Kanye planned that lyric "i made that B*tch famous" for 8 months and Taylor wrote, co-produced 'folklore' for 3 months was really something.

The only response Kanye fans have is that "He made her famous" even tho she was already so successful for a 19yr old.. Just because they have nothing relevant to say..How did he make her famous if he had to call her and ask her to release his song on her twitter?? Kim blames her for reigniting an old feud but her husband have Taylor in his head living rent free for a decade now.. Kanye brought that feud twice this month for no reason but locals have nothing to say about ..

It's her most badass era....she could do anything and not needed to explain or apologize.....she released the album and didn't go to any promotion shows ....she didn't wanted to explain things and be twisted by the media again....instead she announced the world tour and decided to spent her time with the fans and people who believed her

A lot of people hated the Reputation album but I became a Taylor Swift fan because of it. I think the album is genius and it just became better after the truth came out. I love it.

Reputation is her most powerful album lyrically , it is all about explaining what was happening in her life and how people were seeing her and how she coped with that and let it go and how she found true love at the end of it . Reputation is Taylor’s best album and will forever be and Folklore is a close second for me.

This is, in my opinion, would’ve been the perfect single roll-out for reputation: (psychological & commercial wise) *Lead Single - Look What You Made Me Do:* This was definitely a fine opener for the era and to this day the music video is still so iconic. It’s also the third biggest debut in billboard chart history. A message that conveys how her reputation became dismantled, look at what her celebrity feuds have made her do, look at what media attention and rumours made her do, they made her tarnish her own reputation by force. *2nd Single - Don’t Blame Me:* This song is literally another meaning of powerful that sends goosebumps every single time you hear it. The continuation of Taylor’s stimulus of her tarnished reputation is shown where she says ‘Don’t Blame Me, Your love made me Crazy’. The complete opposite of the sweet country girl has gone, this is who Taylor really is now. She isn’t the same girl who reacts to a relationship by acting all sweet and innocent, instead she’ll go crazy and she sure as hell is unapologetic about it. *TWO PROMO SINGLES: Delicate & King of My Heart* Both of these songs would have been the perfect nod back to her reminiscent 1989/Red era where she was once the perfect pop innocent girl. The song Delicate is pop perfection and wouldn’t necessarily need a music video as it’s such a radio hit and King of my Heart is a dubstep-smash ballad that encapsulates both the new-found dark Taylor image while also keeping that golden touch Taylor has in her songwriting. *3rd Single - I Did Something Bad: (Released also near the album’s release date)* This is where things really pick up the pace, the album has just been released and the world are now exposed to what Taylor’s new image truly is about. This song is perfect for continuing on the persona Taylor left in Don’t Blame Me & LWYMMD. The song itself is a satirical masterpiece of what the media had perceived of Taylor. ‘They say I did something bad, so why did it feel so good?’. This could have easily been interpreted as her stating that the change in her image, was what she did bad. But why did it feel so good? Cause she doesn’t have to feel like she needs to pretend certain things about herself. Overall it introduces the world to the basis of Taylor’s new sound, new image- but most important overall, her new message. *4th Single: Getaway Car* What would have been the perfect way to have ended the era & giving fans the justice they wanted for the beautifully written song. Getaway Car truly is one of the best songs Taylor has ever written in her career. Taylor subtly carries on the dark, tainted image, as some suggests the lyric romanticises cheating, while also keeping it an elegant love-song. The last chorus of the song contains the perfect verbs that would’ve ended the era perfectly “Crying, Dying, Said Goodbye In...” They all have connotations of darkness and fear, which is the perfect summary of reputation is all about, Also the song would’ve been an amazing way not only to end reputation on a love-song to treat Taylor’s long-term fans who enjoyed her her earlier songwriting, but an symbolic way of introducing Taylor’s next era ‘Lover’ which collectively contains the same themes and genres of Getaway Car. If its a male artist who sings about heartbreak, he is strong to talk about his feelings. If you’ve listened to the whole album through and through, you’ll know that 3 out of 15 songs were about the media, Taylor’s feuds(I Did Something Bad, Look What You Made Me Do), and Tom and Calvin(Getaway Car). 12 out of 15 are about his boyfriend of 4 years, Joe Alwyn, on how they started their relationship around the mess that has happened on 2016.

Unpopular opinion: 1989, Reputation, Lover and Folklore are a better and more iconic era than Speak Now, Red and Fearless

2016 kinda lowest point for Taylor.. Internet became free in my country, I found Blank space in my recommendation, i heard that and i was sure it's satirical cause why would someone portray themselves as a serial trapper of men in their cage. I hear her Grammy performance of blank space understand its message and become a fan of her voice, intelligence, guitar skills. I start digging media to find about her, nothing positive. I hear all her songs and understood that she is amazing lyricist and composer. I felt if someone isn't afraid of presenting themselves honestly in their art and music then they just cannot have an ugly personality contrary to what everyone on internet was saying. 2017 reputation is released... I became Swiftie forever.

If you think about, they called her a manipulative person, when they were the ones found EVERYTHING just for fucking attention, as if they didn’t had enough. Taylor herself was NEVER complaining for the song, she may felt a little betrayed and out of loop, because she though they were good, but that’s goes to show that as in movies in real life, BAD PEOPLE never change form the core, unless they’re at the verge of dead, and still you gotta be cautious around them.

Yeah, people with “bad reputation” are tricky ones, because: 1. They can actually be the opposite of what it’s been told and they’re just being dragged because they wouldn’t agree with shitty and bad opinion of everyone else Or 2. What’s been told it’s true and you’re gonna be another victim. At the end, you gotta talk to whoever you FEEL LIKE and take the risk. If you think about it, EVERYONE has a “bad reputation” in other’s eyes for the simple fact that we cannot be liked by the 7 billion of people were livin in the same land

I think the album Reputation was about revenge, karma, self-confidence, being hated for nothing and eventually the evildoer gets what he deserves. On the one hand, it was about his love that emerged during his darkest and most chaotic period.

Taylor Swift is my favorite artist and a big part of that is due to reputation- the first album I have completely listened to all the way in one sitting since Disguise by Motionless in White. One thing that i will say is that everybody thinks reputation is a dark and edgy album when yet about a third of the songs are about revenge with the whole controversy and stuff like that and to add to that people will say how its JUST abt how her rep was ruined when really its abt how at the beginning her rep rapidly goes down but as you go thru the tracks she finds a lover (who was joe alwyn at the time)along the way and is really in love with him and worries that her rep at the time will ruin their relationship but instead he (joe) doesn't care abt her rep and only loved her for who she was

Am I the only one who feels like the Kanye phone call seemed staged? Like he REALLY emphasized saying “TAYLOR” like the world had already backlashed at him and he’s trying to prove that he got her permission beforehand. And I know that people sound different over the phone, but the person on the other line didn’t sound like Taylor to me.

This album is very iconic

I always believed her even when the edited video came out (since she said it was edited), not only cause I’m her fan (you can easily see her historic and realize that she is a honest and cleaver person). The thing is: my friends used to call me blind and biased. I knew that if I was feeling so ashamed for believing her, Taylor was in way worst situation since the hate and offensive comments target her. We will never know what was like to be her at that time. And when the unedited video came out, I was happy to know I have always been on the right side of the story supporting Taylor ❤️ also reputation is such an underrated album, it deserved better

As a Swiftie, I think Reputation is a bit of a hot mess, but it has some real gems. Getaway Car is one of my favorite songs she’s ever done. I just get mad because it has so much potential. I think the main problem is that she played it too straight. Reputation should have been more like Blank Space. Campy and sarcastic with a gothic aesthetic (old school goth, not 90’s goth). She’s famous for romantic songs, and gothic aesthetic is the decay of romance and opulence. The snake symbol works in this context too. But instead she played everything deadly serious and it comes off as try-hard
