She has worked hard and deserves all the rewards. Her songwriting is miles ahead of pretty much anyone in pop these days. As a professional writer I can assure you she has arrived at a very high level of songwriting and she is worthy of much praise. Lyrics and melody are really her biggest strength and she paints a very beautiful picture in her music. As a man I'll get roasted for this but after the release of Folklore Taylor Swift has songs plenty as good as Dylan or Neil Young. Beware of the double standards that trickle down from cynical old writers (jealous?) when it comes to Ms Swift, she is great, truly brilliant, cleverly insightful , smart and not a druggie either. Her songs are deep and tell some very personal stories with a twist and with something often left for the imagination which is pure enjoyment. She's a super role model and didn't sell herself short as a stripper like some of her counterparts. She stuck to writing great songs and for that we are all blessed. Her new album renewed my faith in music and songwriting as I believe she will inspire generations to come to be great writers.
