I heard that a stock re5 auto can only handle 360rwhp which isn't to bad anything over it's not going to hold up for very long what hp figures are you going for when you turbo?
I’m running a huge trans cooler, getting a deep pan sump to hold extra 3 litres aswell as a heavy duty valve body upgrade and tuning the trans through haltec so should be fine to hold 500hp or atleast others that have same setup haven’t had issues
Those boxes will take alot. You'd have to put silly power through one to have any real issues. With that said, you obviously put a cooler on if you're trying to push HP. It's easy insurance.

will use twice as much fuel but also be about twice as good at everything especially off road , ive owned a 1999 hilux and still own a 4.8, i only use mine for 4x4ing now got a td for the daily stuff and towing coz its so much better on fuel
@@joshfuller5917 a red top barra is expensive as these days like 10+k for good one and green tops are fetching alot aswell even silver tops aren't that cheap and the ba and bf turbo barra's where known for failing
