The Bow is an International Fitting Limb (so it clicks together) hunting recurve. We compare this bow to other hunting recurve bows on price. We shoot the bow and let you know how it compares. archeryshop.com.au/p/9301170/t...
@@huntinglife5202 Maybe the limbs are junk, I've not tried those. I have the riser and use it with long carbon/wood KAP limbs. There is no hand shock at all, with no stab/dampening or string silencers it is surprisingly quiet. It is a cast riser, so I'm not sure if I would recommend it at the 50lb you can order it at, but my 34lb limbs come in around 40lb on the 19" riser and it feels solid and have had no issues.
people say that the riser may even better than the original for it is machined and not cast machined, but the limbs are not good at all. People shouldn't buy this if they want to support Hoyt. But for those who can't afford a Hoyt and really dig in the looks I don't see why not. It's not right to do this but it gives the poor an option.
@@hanlin9320 I already own two Hoyt target risers, and multiple sets of Hoyt limbs, they have plenty of my money and support. I bought the TBOW riser as a fun recreational bow to take into the woods and not worry about damaging it. I'm sure it is a cast riser, not CNC machined like the original, but it's well made and plenty strong enough.
I really appreciate your channel and especially this video! I'm not a serious archer. I have a Black Hunter (or two) that I use for recreational shooting on occasion, but archery isn't my primary or even secondary hobby. These incredibly affordable bows are just the thing for casuals like me. I'd been looking at the Tbow for a while because of the price point and design and now I'll get one.
Again, nice review. One day I'm going to have to grab a recurve and try it on for size. Been 40 plus years since I shot a recurve. Just might be able to hit the inside of the range with it. Steven has the shooting the outside of the house down to a science.
Hey Steven, I just watched your review of the TBow “Satori”. I think you are bang on with this review. I’ve been into trad archery for about a year now in order to rehab a shoulder injury. I dare not pull my 67 lbs hunting compound bow quite yet. As it happens my two favourite drawing recurves are my Hunters Niche Predator Classic 60” recurve and a close second is my TBow “Satori” with short #45 lbs Uukha Gobi limbs. My DL is 27”. Sweet drawing bows.
I'm watching this video wanting to get into a recurve bow. I shoot compound but I want to learn the recurve. My problem is that I'm left handed. The new beginning bows here in America, left hand, start around $300 for a riser. In Southern California there are hardly any shops. Does Archery Supplies send to America or could you steer me to a good beginner bow. Love that Mybo in this review but it's a couple years old. ebay has some good used bow combination. I'm stuck. We have a great range with great instructors very close by. Help! Thank you for all your videos. Steven, keep getting better....
Based on your review I'm going to order this bow in the next week or so. Currently you can pick one up for €95 here in Germany delivered to your door. I'd say that's a great deal. Another couple of hundred euros for decent arrows an arrow rest and maybe a bow quiver and I've got a great little rig for the 3D course. Thanks for your honest reviews.
I’ve had a predator hunter recurve for many years now and been looking for something to use for slinging arrows since I heard predator closed. And I think I’m sold.
@@tomassjackson And the riser seems to be exactly the same, from the design of the holes to even the conic shape of the limb pockets. I'm wondering if is a knock off or Hoyt just makes the bow in China and the brand is selling the Satori renamed.
@@Buran01 I examined the Hoyt Satori in a shop and couldn´t find any difference between the two. Even the plastic or rubber coating of the tiller bolt is the same, the screw of the limb alignment (10.9), the rough surface coating, the deburring, the bevels, everything seems to be the same. But the second riser that I ordered for my brother (from China to Germany) and came in July 2019 had a different coating, now smooth, and the deburring was less accurate, but not bad. When I show the riser to my local dealers, they all say: But the material must be worse. - Al 7075!? - Don´t know, I´m shooting it with 48lbs draw weight, and I´m excited.
I have one and i love it. Also have a Satori. Both equal in my opinion. I also have a Anderson lower on my AR. Some people that already bought the high dollar stuff have to ridicule the lower cost copies to justify their purchase.
How does this compare to the sf/wns forge? Other than the bushings for quiver, and colour. Is there much difference in how it's feels, shoots and overall build quality?
Hi Steve..... based on this review you did i had to get this bow... i am a beginner but think i might have misjudged and bought the 19 inch riser with 45 lbs limbs (when strung the bow is 60 inches) .... as a beginner it''s difficult to draw the bow.....what would be a good replacement limbs for this riser..? help........
Hello. Didn't really hear what the riser was made of. Steven said: " metal riser". Must be aluminum not ferrous metal. It would weigh a lot. Can any one clarify this for me? Thanks
i thought for a second this was some sort of early preview of the satori until i looked at video upload date .. for sure a copy by the gents in china lol
the bow in video is what looks like a nock off of the hoyt satori bow made by hoyt the galaxy sear is made by a china based company and picked up by lancaster
Everything is made in China now. Initially American companies 'out source' to China to build their products cheaper (sold at same price for more profit). Later China starts selling them direct to cut out the middle man.
Is amazing how in your W&W Black Wolf review you talk about how has much better finish than the Hoyt in both the riser and the limbs and yet here you're flattering the finish of riser and limbs of a bow which is nothing but the Hoyt Satori (rebranded, because seems that as happens with some of the PSE recurves, Hoyt is outsorcing the production of the Satori in China). Talking about cognitive disonance.... But I'm not saying that the bow is bad at all (indeed, seems a nice bow and only the Hoyt bag and the better string arming is missed). I'm just saying that sometimes a product you review is portrayed as desiderable/skippable just based in which ones you have. Your reviews are truly good and extensive, but sometimes I feel that are also tainted by biass.
Buran01 the satori is made in the USA, I’ve visited the factory. The bow you’re looking at in this video was manufactured in China illegally and is most likely inferior quality.
@@dylanm8145 I think you're right (at least about the in-house made of the Satori by Hoyt). Not sure about the quality: currently some brands from USA and South Korea (as Lancaster Archery, Sammick and even Win & Win) ourtsource the crafting of part of their products from countries like china. Lancaster's Galay risers, their limbs and even some limbs from W&W are made in China. Is the iPhone a smartphone of low quality due mass produced overseas? Of couse, there's the problem of the steal of the intellectual property, but to be honest brands as Bosen and Junxing are offering some not-clone bow designs with good quality at very competitive prices.
you can get the riser in the video above the hoyt satori copy for£85 in uk from china aliexpress i'd give limbs a miss and go tradtech blackmax for like $120
No your the blind one , as in your total ignorance ! Shooting an aspirin in mid air I wouldn't call that blind > bloody amazing skills instinctive archery !
Just go out and buy this bow from Steve or u can buy the exact Satori version for over 3 times the price... FYI..Hoyt Satori is made in China & Tbow is made in china...go figure😎
Dude is charging $460 for a $250 bow, he is a rip, get it straight from china on ebay zero postage from between $188 to $250 AUD. His mark up can't be justified, it's just greed
@@overwatch3950 and still you can get it on ebay cheaper, his prices are still over the top expensive, even now. You buy from his shop your getting ripped off.
pretty likely that this cheap copy will break into pieces during the shot!Well bravo money well spent and the rest of the day will be spend in hospital
Ill bet you bought the Satori ! Im probably going to buy the Satori in a few more months. I will use this one for practice till I can . I just wanted a lower weight bow to learn on .
