Fun fact: Most people in South Korea believe TVXQ is the best group SM ever came up with. It has been 12 years since 5 group members got separated into 2 and 3 members but they were that amazing and sensational. You guys really need to check their live performances. They are on different level in terms of their singing abilities and visuals.

mirotic means maze. member jaejoong actually made the word. word "miroh" means maze in korean and then he added english suffix "tic". so its like a korean mix english slang. and it gives more like a "its a maze like" meaning.

TVXQ aka The Gods os East, the royalty of Kpop! FOR ME, no other group is on their level, period.

i'm glad you reacted to TVXQ's MIROTIC! wow. i didn't think you guys would go for this one first. this song is almost 13 years old (release date sep 19, 2008) and the hype that this song alone brought back then was just amazing. you guys should watch a live performance of this song~^^ and yes, i don't like the box-type setting as well but sm entertainment is known for this kind of thing... but at least this is one of those that have a storyline :)))) anyway, hoping to see you guys react to more TVXQ soon!

TVXQ! is a legend within legendary groups, the idol of idols They are well known for their incredible vocals and passion and presence on stage.

Yunho is the leader who you guys already reached to with his solo Thank U! 3 members left me do solo stuff now, Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun. While Yunho and Changmin are still in TVXQ as a duo. All of them have really good music even now! You guys should check our Flower by Xia Junsu. He was the one leading the dance mostly in this video

Thanks for your reaction to dbsk! It's such a shame that their old clips are in terrible quality 480p max. But the music is still amazing. Mirotic is a portmanteau between miroh (maze) and erotic. The song's lyrics make it clear that it's about a sexual relationship gone wrong, but, like a maze, finding the way out is full of dead ends and other obstacles. Getting free will not be easy. To add to the idea of a messed up love affair, the actual song name is Jumun, which has a dual meaning of an "order" and "magic spell," but not the good kind of magic. More like the kind that controls you and makes you feel uneasy or even frightened. So Mirotic is a Korean version of Santana's "Black Magic Woman." Theme-wise, anyway.

For another Throwback Thursday, could you guys react to ANYBAND - Play Talk Love + Promise U? It's actually a phone ad, but the scale was massive for its time (2007). BoA, Xiah (at that time was still in TVXQ), Tablo (from Epik High), and Jazz pianist Jinbora were casted to form a project band for the ad. The music video combines two songs and depicts a dystopian world where there was no talk/play/love. The video quality might not be up to the current standard, but the production value imo really makes up for it.

Mirotic was actually supposed to be "Erotic" but censorship in Korea is pretty tough. So they changed it. And the korean title means "a magic formula" (so basically "A magic formula: Erotic"). They came up with some meaning for Mirotic later, as they didn't wanna have to explain it was supposed to be Erotic lol. Another fun fact. SM bought this track from a song writer who also sold it to a german singer. So there's 2 versions of this song. One from Korea, one from Germany. SM tends to buy songs rather than produce them in-house. Which is why this is not the only song that exists in more than one country (eg. F(x)'s Hot Summer also exists as a german song or Girl's Generation's Dancing Queen and Duffy's Mercy)
