This delay is just crazy. :-) I personally pity a bit that I bought Flashback X4 because its looper is kinda useless if you have Ditto already (I did) and it doesn't have subdivision making your tempo faster (eights/16th) for cases when it's just crazy hard to tap it. Of course X4 is good, but I don't know what it has and this one doesn't. :-)
I have had this delay for a month now and was just thinking of selling it to get a timeline. This has ingnited a whole new inspiration! You showed me what I was missing out on in a pedal I already owned! Your demos are literally perfect. No longer do I have to sift through minutes of talking. this is groundbreaking. Also, I never thought of the modulation/tremelo toneprint preset thing. Truley impressive. Keep doing it.
Jeez, now I'm gonna have to go out and get this pedal too. This is the second knobs video that I watched and went out and bought the pedal. You guys are going to make me broke. But I love your videos so much!
abracadaver KNOBS I bought this pedal a few days ago and it's really amazing. I think it will be replacing at least one of the delay pedals I'm using now, if not more. Who needs money when you can just stay at home and play music all day long! Thank you guys and TC Electronics!
Knobs do you have the setting for the 3 delays for the part where you're explaining the series/parallel switch? Great job on these demos, will you do any od/distortions?
oh my, once you switch to parallel, it becomes a downpour, like the kind of downpour you would see outside a window, and the sound is all different. Beautiful.
Dude, I've just come across your channel, but I totally fell in love with your videos! Really peculiar style and awesome reviews/demos. You definitely helped me make up my mind on the delay I'll add to my first analogue pedalboard (yep, it's this one). Cheers!
I got mine last week and I'm delay heaven...wish there were more memory slots cause I keep coming up with all kinds of awesome delays. Just did a track with the ambient pads and rhythms and a guitar solo using the triple delay. Tap delay worked great with the drums and bass locked.
I was just thinking to myself "this would be perfect for me if it had MIDI sync" when I looked up the back panel Can't believe a pedal so fine tuned to my needs exists
That was so much more than a pedal demo. It really captured the mood of a distant memory, like a fadied Polaroid picture.Thankyou. TC Electronic: i will not buy this however. Only because I see how a ”Triple Delay 2” version could fix a few small qwerks and be brought into line with the Flashback 2 line’s way of doing things. When than happens (and it must) I will be first in line for that one. So thanks in advance for that. :-)
so_hypd Yeah, it sounds soooo good, and damn these sounds are inspiring.... and that's coming from us, who thought we knew the ins and out of this pedal, but Knobs just opened an entirely new sonic dimension :)
Hi Knogs, great videos you have guys! :D love it, I hace a quesiton on the 4:01 the sound comes from just that one pedal or is another one working at the same time? Thanks in advance for your answer, !! once again guys you rock!
You should start a pedal museum. I'm sure you've allocated a museum's worth of pedal related gear. It would be something to be behold by any audiophile especially if made to be interactive in some state/way.
Wilder Buchananhorton Tap tempo controls all the delays.. if u have all 3 engage it will set your desired tap tempo for all 3.. Should be same wether in parallel or series..
can someone confirm this: I've heard that with this pedal the global tap tempo doesn't work well. it only affects channels that are active meaning if a delay is off then you can't set the tempo to it and then turn it on. not sure if i should buy this or 2-3 individual delays
Just fire up all the three delay engines tap the tempo and then switch off one by one and then when needed switch them on again I think that way they will have the same global tempo
I have this pedal and love it 😍 but can anyone help me solve the live problem of no global tap tempo? Has anyone solved it? Has anyone purchased the midi tap tempo? If yes then which one? Disaster Area SMARTclock or Molten Voltage TEMPODE? or ???
gasp ! how much does this "magic box" cost ? When will it ever stop ?!??😀oh to be rich/crazy enough to buy one,. ..love it tho' and, as usual a superb demo from KNOBS👍🏼 🐂💨💨💨💨💨💨
I loved the sound of this pedal when I owned it, but that dang 1 2 3 switch was so flimsy I was worried I'd break it at one if my shows. other than that, it was great. they should have really made it with a multi preset bank instead of only 3 save locationd.
GUy guys I need to ask you. Im too high to figure it out from video. but is this pedal like this? delay 1 A B C different save-able presets delay 2 A B C different save-able presets delay 3 A B C different save-able presets is it? please tell me it is...
Unfortunately the units delay engines aren't midi switchable (on/off). That's a pain and a fact that is rarely being addressed... This is sad because midi switchers are becoming more and more affordable and truly practical and innovative. Using a G-lab GSC 4 I can't turn on and off the 3 delay engines via midi and that will be the reason I will have to sell the Tripledelay for another unit with midi switching ability...
Ioannis Tziallas yes - TC Electronic really missed an opportunity with this pedal. It's sad that they haven't even tried to fix some of the lacking issues with a firmware update or anything.
FWIW - TC does listen to input from customers. They made some solid improvements on their flashback delay with the flashback delay 2, so I'm guessing while this triple delay (which I just bought used for cheap) is a bit of a shit show in terms of functionality, will get a V2 version in the coming years that we can all get excited about.
scottiboi1983 why shit show i have this pedal ,its a great sounding pedal, very versatile, love it.Im not biying anymore delay pedals o have enough and the Triple delay sounds fantastic IMO.TC should learn not to make V2 of each of their released pedals, hqve yoy heard Strymon to make BlueSky 2 or Timeline 2 no they release at least new pedals with different names but not V2 .Anyway the Triple i think wont be updated, its complete in the spirit of TC,theres an exp pedal input so this Mash technogy i guess will be reserved for their smaller pedals
@Knobs: Hello! Hey, I have a quick question if you don't mind: I've recently purchased a Flashback Triple Delay. But I've noticed that, specifically with the Reverse Delay Type, there is no change whatsoever if I move around the Subdiv Knob; however it does work with all the other Delay Types and even the TonePrints. Do you know why this might happen?
