You've gotta catch up, James! Watch the video from yesterday or any from the last two months. : ) I made the switch already and mic everything now. I've had an entire studio for years, just never used it for my channel. To be honest, I actually didn't really care. None of this was meant to be a, "channel," it started with me posting videos of my amps and guitars, that's it. It's only been a bunch of weeks since I jumped into mic'ing my amps, when a few studio engineers helped me revamp what I was doing and suggested I add a mixingboard. $400 on the mixer and $500 in mics, stands and cables, I'm slowly getting there. Hundreds of guys had complained about me not mic'ing, but NOT ONE understood how to run the gear or have a workflow!! Everyone was making the suggestion, as if I knew! I'm a professional photographer, not an audio engineer. Hahaha! It just took time, plus... a mic and an interface doesn't work with a RU-vid channel unless you don't mind spending six hours editing a 15 minute video. It had to be streamlined differently than recording a track into one's DAW. It was like a bunch of guys telling me to change the tire but none of them knew how. Hahaha! "Louis, just change the tire!!" Show me, I don't know how!! And ghost! Hahaha!
It's like when a guy says, "can you compare the Randall Diavlo to this amp I don't own, this other amp I don't have and another amp that costs $4,500?" What am I, made of money? Do I look like I live at Sweetwater? Hahaha! "Louis, buy this Schecter and tell me what you think!" Bro, you buy your own Schecter and figure out if the $1,600 you spent is a good value for that cheap maple veneer top or not. Hahaha! Why are dudes asking me to buy shit? Hahaha! Like I take suggestions on what to buy! Lmao! It's funny at times.
The TC does have more bass naturally but if you add a little more terrible, it gets a little too chintzy, if that makes sense. As if the treble were a little too sensitive, a different pot would help but then it'll change the high end and won't be the original version. It's a great pedal for something that's over thirty years and if Fortin and others never made their versions, the TC would be the leader. : )
Hahahaha!! You HAVE to get one this year! Someone in the Fortin Facebook group got their 33 as a gift from his wife on his 33rd birthday! Hahaha!! You'll love it!!
Oh shit! No! What's it called? Is it the LiverKick, the one designed by Lasse where the graphic is doing a karate kick? Did they ever launch that pedal? I feel like Lasse was the only one that ever got one. I've always been one of Richard's biggest fans, he makes great pedals!
Louis Torres it’s called the “Tight pre” and it has the bass, treble and volume knobs just like the TC! It’s not based off the liverkick from what I know, it’s his own integrated preamp version!
Yeah bro, the KSR Ceres is more like a tube monster, I think that's why it's $400, bc it's worth it and nothing like anything else on the market. The Diezel Herbert is second, for sure. The Powerstage helps too, with its built-in EQ that fine tunes the brutal tones! :)
I don't know what I used that day but I usually just play around with pedals until it sounds okay, then I start recording. No idea but it's a great pedal, except that it's not like a pedal bc there's no 3pdt footswitch. :) Still great to leave on full-time.
@@theyarenthuman Plague Scythe confirmed bass/treble using some EQ analysis, you're correct, it's bass all the way down and treble -4. Personally, using the Airis TS Pre (which is a clone of the Integrated Pre), I find I like the treble a pinch lower than that, more like around 10'o clock (the knobs aren't marked on the Airis version, but that would be roughly -5 on the TC), but I'm going for more of a "growl", so that makes sense.
