Daniel and the wonderful orchestral accompaniment go to the heart of what Tschaikowsky surely wanted to convey in this magnificent, soul-filled performance of his intricate and heart-rendingly beautiful Concerto ~ thank you!

I can’t find the right words to describe the sound he coaxes out of his violin. I thought I’d heard the pinnacle of the reference recordings for this piece with David Oistrach’s monumental performance around 1959-1960 on Decca records. I wouldn’t be able to choose between the two. Both recordings leave me gasping.

I’ve known this piece for years and his playing is masterful with a sensitive interpretation and richness of tone that would be expected more from a person beyond his years. He deeply touched on the composer’s “putting his heart on his sleeve” due to the personal anguish he was going through. The performance has magical qualities and transcends the passage of time.

Love this! I sense a great variety in his playing. Every time something is repeated there is meaning to it and it is much more musical than other recordings I have heard.
