Played through it to 100% and loved every minute. Games and movies that have a sense of heart at their core are among the best. My favorite mode of transportation was rocks. Becoming a rock and being a one stone avalanche is pretty funny. You can get some major speed going down some hills. Also the soundtrack slaps.

I usually go for fighting games but man let me tell you, the traversals in the game just hooks you tbh. I got it 2 days ago btw and I’m already loving it. You should try it out trust me.

I love these little indie reviews. I know it takes way more time and effort than the 5 and a half minutes shown to make the darn things, but they're such sweet little showcases that it makes all of that worth it. And it sounds like the music in this one is phenomenal. Definitely going on my wishlist.

Sometimes I feel like games like this should have like an on-rails story and the reward for beating it is the ability to just explore and collect. Usually though if you do play these games like that you get to the end of the story and don't feel like exploring anymore because you've "beaten" the game. It is really a weird balance to strike. I think why Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom did so well is because it starts off with the story and then progresses it to a point where it's actually telling you that you need to explore and gain power before taking on the end boss or more story yet also leaving the option for you to just sprint to the end if you want. I don't know how I'd feel having such a high stakes story like Jesse mentioned here and then after a quest you can just walk off in a different direction having just a pleasant relaxing time. Feels like it'd almost be like emotional whiplash.

Look, surely Ganon’s not going to blow up the world while I go karting. If he wants me to hurry up, he should ruin Hyrule faster and better to give me a reason to beat him up sooner. Oh, Tchia’s dad? He’s probably just gallivanting somewhere in the islands, he’ll be fine.
