Installing a new shifter on the c10, I chose the TCI fastgate since its about the cheapest gated shifter you can buy. Also a test drive in this video! Thanks for watching.

Next you should get rid of that fuel filter before you burn the truck down, those will leak.

Thanks for sharing your take on the TCI shifter i was skeptical but now i will consider gettin one,BTW nice truck you got there , like the honesty of your video. Straight to the point no bull… thats how things should be.

I couldn't quite tell from the angle, but are you able to go into neutral without pulling onto the release? I have been looking for a shifter similar to how the Chrysler Slapstick works. It only shifts "one gear" until you release pressure and hit it again. And it doesn't allow you to go into neutral unless you use the release. Thanks

No, you can't go into N without pulling up on the lock release. The ratcheting works exactly how you described, bump up one gear at a time you cant go into the next gear until you release pressure against it. To go from drive or reverse to neutral, you have to pull up on the lock release. But not going from N to D or R. Thanks for watching!
