Today, I am doing a video on the TCL Alto 6+ 2.1 Channel Soundbar Review. The TCL alto 6+ soundbar is a budget soundbar coming in at $100. It is Roku TV ready and comes with a wireless Bluetooth designated subwoofer to really up the bass levels. It can easily be ordered on amazon and is great for a budget home theater setup. This TCL soundbar also has Dolby audio to provide a better immersive sound experience. If you are looking for a budget soundbar for your home theater setup, I would highly recommend the TCL Alto 6+ 2.1 channel soundbar with the wireless Bluetooth subwoofer. Digital optical is the cleanest way to connect, and should not have any delay. The issue may be with settings on your TV. Digital optical is probably the fastest transfer rates, and best audio quality you can get. If there's a delay or its out of Sync, check your TV's audio settings. Newer TV's should not have an issue decoding digital optical connection.

One question: It looks like I'll have to connect these speakers to HDM3 on my Roku TV. Will it still play audio from other HDMI inputs say if I have Apple TV on HDMI1 and a Playstation on HDMI2?

review guide....can your regular TV roku remote control the soundbar? like when you power on/off your tv does the soundbar auto turn on/off? as well as volume controls on the roku remote? Thanks so much!

As long as you connect the soundbar via HDMI, you can control it with the TCL TV remote. Sound and power I believe.

I have this sound bar connected to a TCL 65S433 using the HDMI ARC port. It sounds great when using any of the HDMI inputs connected to a source, but when I use the streaming services I have to crank the volume up to 90% or 100%. Is there a setting I may be missing?

havent tried it for myself(waiting for it to get here) but id like to add that even though the sub is bluetooth, you probably arn't going to notice any of the quality drawbacks like you would with some cheaper, normal speakers since it doesnt play a huge range of sounds, if you compress audio that is playing from 20-20k hz you may notice but if your compressing ~15-65 hz it probaly wont be very audible as there arnt a whole range of sounds happening at once getting distorted.

Yes. You can disconnect the subwoofer and just use the soundbar

@@treenugs117 thank you for your reply! I was worried because sometimes the sound can be very thin without a subwoofer in these combo type setups. Sometimes companies will finely tune the speaker and subwoofer to work together, so if you take away the subwoofer there will be a big gap in the lower end frequencies. How does the sound bar sound by itself? I definitely don’t want room rattling muddy bass, but a more full frequency spectrum would be great. For reference, I’m not an audiophile and I think stock iMac speakers and $50 Logitech computer speakers sound amazing lol

@@parksoo-kim6908 I Honestly haven't even listened to my alto 6+ without the sub but assuming the 2.0 is the exact sound without the woofer than it can get quite loud but as far as room filling sound you'd need a sub for playing at low volumes or else it might be a little flat. The bar itself though has a little bass radiator next to the right speaker so that might be ample enough for the average listener 👍

I just bought the same TCL Alto 6 soundbar, but without the subwoofer for $69.99 before tax. My Sceptre 55 inch 4K TV recently started randomly displaying the volume bar and increasing the volume several times a day and I knew it would be a matter of time before the TV would either get stuck on high volume or the volume would eventually go out. With the soundbar hooked up to the ARC HDMI input, the TV volume is disabled and my Roku remote controls the volume on the soundbar which is what I was hoping for. Now I don't have to worry about the volume indicator bar popping up and the volume randomly changing on it's own.
