13:20 Thank you for the 4k 144hz nvidia custom resolution settings! I have been pulling out my hair for weeks trying to figure it out. They worked flawlessly for my 85in qm8. And yes, VRR and HDR sill remain active (game mode only).

The black crush of the QN95C at 1:46 is the reason I always used my Q90R with local dimming set to low. I did lose some peak brightness but on the plus side I also lost some blooming-strength, increased shadow detail and still kept some of the deep blacks and the lovely QLED color richness. I hope a similar compromise is still possible on the QN95C.

Is there a way to find out what TCL has addressed in firmware updates and what models they pertain to? Like a list. In 2 seconds, I can find out what was addressed on my LG OLED but, TCL (no comment) doesn't have that. They go through Roku and Google TV but, I want to know if they addressed something in the models I own or one I might buy. It's like trying to find a needle in a stack of needles. I won't buy anymore, because I never know if they address firmware or software issues. Telling me that it's version 12.0 and how to update, all over the internet with zero breakdown or list of anything, is why I won't buy front them anymore.

I just wanted a bigger TV than my LG Oled 55 B7 ( still perfect and no burn it ) I opted for the C745 75" as I don't need a bright panel as my lounge window faces north , so room never gets the sun . Have to say I am quite impressed with the model and the price ( £1099 for a 75") was a no brainer . Cannot fault HDR/Dolby vision etc

Don't ever rely on TCL for software updates. They have had 480p scaling issues in multiple TV models of them for like 4+ years, which they promised to fix in updates, and it still hasn't been. Only factor in updates if it is already available _before_ you buy a product.

Hi, Does the TCL C845 have PVR/Timeshift function or not? On TCL global website in the specifications (additional feature) for all C845 display sizes is written that the the TV has PVR/Timeshift (Comply with different regional standards). A few of my friends have this device, but they can't manage to operate it, there is not such function. The C845 did recognize the external SSD and HDD via USB Port, but they still could not bring to work any PVR/Timeshift function on it. Did you find such function and it works? if so, how and where it's possible to use/start it on an european regional C845 TV? Thank you.

I jumped on this immediately in Denmark if youre talking about the Komplett campaign. In game mode with DTM (detail) brightens the image too much, whereas, if you choose HGIG, you get a somewhat good balance, but the image darkens too much Also, if you are going to use 120hz on pc (144hz never worked...), you have to limit the bandwidth to 40gb with CRU, otherwise you will have intermittent video signal drops. On consoles it's actually useless in many games because many console games have a fixed fps and basically never drops from the target. On PC, If your GPU isn't powerful enough to hit your monitor refresh rate then you can always manually set a fps limit slightly below the average fps your system runs a specific game at. Do you guys ever test the audio delay when using eARC with a home theater when using another input for the source, for example hooking up a PS5 to the TV, then using the eARC for audio on a receiver? My TCL 55R635 is not bad in a lot of ways but the audio delay makes me want to throw it in the garbage and buy a new TV sometimes. I don't see much coverage of this problem with TVs. When playing a vid from an internal app such as Netflix, there may or may not be a delay with audio depending on the app. Amazon Prime was always the worst while other apps are fine or not bad enough to be a problem. You can't use lip-sync settings as it only delays audio further. Also for gaming it wrecks the experience when audio is lagging behind by 1/4 second or whatever.

Opinions on what's best 75" (less blooming) between: C845, QN90C, U8K or a sony x85

QN90C is a huge step forward and has the least blooming of any LED LCD TV. The x85 doesn't even have any local dimming while the QN90C has 720 dimming zones. The only better LED LCD is the Sony X95L which costs a lot more money
@Danboi.

@@darthbrodais qn85c much worse than qn90c? ..It's $200 less. $2600 AUD compared to $2800 for 90c

I've seen several reviews and video comparisons showing how U8K has almost ZERO blooming nearly identical to OLEDs with significantly deep blacks. That TV is a beast. It had $100 knocked off its price just a few days ago in Canada (yes I'm closely watching for a good price drop) and am sure its further going to go down here as well as in other markets. The U8K also seems to edge out TCL's latest and greatest, the QM8, as per several reviews -- its not as bright as TCL at peak brightness but extreme brightness levels are reserved for HDR content at/above 1000 nits which U8K is capable of handling with 1,500-nit peak brightness.
@Danboi.
@Danboi. 10 месяцев назад
@@lordtardar4639in Australia they are nowhere near the same quality. I got a 75" U8Hau and I can clearly count the dimming zones. About 10 rows virtually and 21 horizontally , so 210. It ended up being faulty unit and Hisense have offered to replace it with a U7K 75" or refund.

Im also considering these two TVs. Tcl is 130 euro's cheaper but that isnt a big deal for me. What TV did you end up with and what would you recommend? Id be mostly using it for 4k content and PS5

@@sinterklaasenzwartepiet4267 I bought the tcl c845, but I returned it and bought a s90c since I found it under 1000€ It wasnt a bad tv, but tonemapping was overbrightening everything, and HGIG was too dark for me Also, VRR was unusable, inverse ghosting was very severe. I knew VA was were suffering for overshoot/inverse ghosting but with this tv was horrendous and apparently all TCL tv suffer from this.. I cant understabd why no one mentoin it.. Never tried the QN90B, but s90c price has come down a lot and I am veery satisfied with it

Nobody has a “calibration” settings to share, what you are asking is “configuration” settings, a completely different thing. Calibration are insidious for each single unit of tvs, with measurement equipment.
