TCL Makes Huge Impact in 2024 l, QM8, QM7, S5. 

WHAT? NOOOO... I missed the premier and now I feel lost

I love my TCL QM8 65” and i have an LG OLED. The 55” 3D Curved LG OLED and to me it looks just as great as any of the new OLEDS that are out.

I like tcl and hisense and the direction they are going.. my issue is the uncertainty of longevity with both these brands.. any new tv I buy I would expect to get at least 5/6 years of no issues... The Sony I have is going strong and it's a 2019... a protection would be a must for tcl and hisense if I went that route

Beautiful looking large screens, can't wait for manufacturers to get their products in the hands of reviewers this year, 2024 will be epic.

Thinking I am going to wait for these new 2024 models to drop and pick up the 85" as long as it will fit on my TV center. These new improvements should really put TCL a tier up I believe

Thanks for the vid Brian! I missed the premier. You know I've been a Sony guy for a while, but i just ordered the TCL 98S when it went on sale for 2k through Amazon! Ive read tons of reviews, and watched B the Installers vid on it. Tons of praise for it! I know it wont have the processing power, but the immersion should be amazing. It gets delivered tomorrow. Hope all is well brother 😊

I bought a 75" QM8 a few months ago to put into my dedicated room.

I think it should be clarified when talking about dimming zones and nits - these are TCL's "UP TO" numbers depending on screen size. Not all size QM8's will be 5000 zones and 5000 nits. For the record Hisense is saying the same "UP to" info. We'll have wait and see what the real counts are for each size when closer to release. It will be interesting to see what the improvements really are.

TCL really going strong this year with the qm7 with those specs, Hisense un7 is no even close, so I think this year TCL will rule.

Hi Brian, another great review on TCL TV’s, over in the uk, TCL customer services is rubbish,I was wanting to buy the tcl 98” last year, but could not get any answer from tcl customer services to say if or when the large TV’s are coming, another year later asked TCzl customer services the same question regarding the 115” tv and they did not know anything about it, where on the other hand Hisense TV’s customer services are very helpful, when you ask them a question they get back to you,

They look impressive for what they are, provided the good pricing is still there. I am just incredibly selective when it comes to that blooming that only OLED can currently pull off.

I have a Sony A80K 77 inch at the moment. However, I really over extended myself and went beyond my means to buy it and it's something I can probably never do again. If anything happens to it or if I'm just looking to upgrade. TCL is the brand I have my eyes pretty set on because they seem pretty perfect for people looking for performance on a budget.

At the same price which would you recommend the 85' '24' TCL QM8 or the 85" '23 Hisense UX? TIA

When they can give me a 75 inch mini led with a 120hz refresh rate, good tone mapping close to sony level. At $1,000 dollar or less Canadian dollars. They will dominate the market. The qm8 is over 2,000 here. At that price u might as well just save up the money for a good sony with there pictures quality and tone mapping or get a good Samsung or LG. TCL should be trying to win the budget class market where there most buys are. Just like ben q did with there w1070 project. The qm8 is not a budget option for most people. Qm8 needs to have the bugs fix to complete with the big boys.

How's the viewing angles on that qm8 98?

I am debating between Q7 and u7k. Now I just want to wait for QM7. Any idea when this will normally come out?

Which one is the best 98”?! Or 85” I’m looking at the s5 on Best Buy and it says standard LED not qled. Which one is the qled?

big blind sight on these tcl's is no 10 bit 4:4:4 unless you go into pc mode which adds input lag amounting to 26.4ms which is unacceptable. I can accept 4:2:2 at 120, but thats ridiculous for a hdmi 2.1 spec at 60hz. Interested to see if upscaling has improved too as tcl is very subpar.

I think 🤔 TCL 98" is what I want. I just need to see from the lowest price 98" to the highest or second highest to see what I really like. I mean the days of me just saying to myself oh highest price no problem are way over. I do want a nice looking TV but I feel larger is better. I know lol FOMO 🤣😂😭🤪

I saw blooming on the tcl q class tv and I'm very susceptible to blooming so TCLs quite aren't there yet. I am watching on an OLED monitor so I know its not my TV. lol.

I guess you wouldn't know the TV's actual picture quality until you play it with real video contents that average users watch. Any 4K TV will look great playing those HDR contents. My 2018 Samsung Q8FN looks gorgeous in par with OLED TV, if not better, when playing those short 4K, 8K HDR contents.

How big is too big????? I just picked up an 83" and thats the biggest TV ive ever had. Now 98", 105, 110, 115" are available.

Can't recommend TCL currently given how poor the overall uniformity of most of these larger panels is. Go UST if you seek size above PQ
