I saw 55" TCL at Walmart today. Same exact model #… one box said made in Mexico. Other box said made in China. Are the units made or assembled in Mexico better quality? I have typically had better luck with products out of Mexico vs China.

When I grew up in the 1950's almost no-one I knew could afford a new TV. All the TV's my family owned were from the second hand store. They averaged about 15 inches in black and white and as a young boy I listened to radio for about the first seven years of my life before I even watched my first television which had a blurry picture that depended on a roof antenna or rabbit ears. How times have changed.
David Guerreiro I believe that those panels had come without tuner, as DTV protocol varies from regions, what they did was to put a tuner for their region as to finish the final assembly. As I can see, their production line was quite loose, not decent enough for quality production.

2:31 As an electronics repair technician I have seen this Chang capacitors (2 long devices on the circuit board) leaking and bulging quite fast, even as soon as within a year they fail and need to be replaced. They use them in all types of cheap Chinese electronics. Horrible!
As an electronic engineer, i can tell you that this is how planned obsolescence is done. Every wet capacitor has nominal life span and optimal temperature. When you exceed temperature or current then you can get nice bulging .
Ok what the hell? They take it out of the box, take it apart test it and put it BACK in the box? What is the purpose of this? Are they rebranding cheaper tvs as their own? I dont get it.
Yeah...that way they can say assembled in Poland...they have to ship it as parts...and they get to call it a product of whatever other nation that has lower tariffs or none...
Brazil used to do this too, as you avoided the tarrifs if you assembled in country. So parts would come in and you did the final assembly in, say, Florinapolis Brazil. Low taxes then.
Bought one TCL tv for my kids to play video games last year. . It's cheap for sure $150 for a 45" somehow the pcb from the back of the TV smells really bad after couple of hours of playing.
I bought a QLED 55" tv 4k, the pitcure is so clear and sharp, just perfect, great built in sound system and the google TV menu is easy to understand. A good TV for a reasonable price!
8:20 wait wait wait… they’re shipping 100% of the components from China to Poland, performing final assembly there, and then shipping them to USA?!? How does that make any sense? Surely, for the American market, it’d be cheaper to do final assembly in Mexico like everyone else.
I guess this assembly facility is TCL assembly facility in Lüleburgaz/Türkiye; because the type and behaviours of employees are turkish and two times he spoke turkish words to the employees.(When the girl was hitting, he said "vur vur(hit hit) and two times he said the color of the ecran when testing). There, they are also assembling TCL phones. May be PCB cards are produced in Poland or this is a way to expor to USA over Poland; because Türkiye is a member of ECU since 1995 before Poland. There isn't any commercial differences and limitations with Türkiye and the other members of EU for exporting and importing, so Türkiye imports and exports like a member of EU with the same rules, sometimes some far-east companies produce in Türkiye because of the empolyee fees and export from like any members of EU to Europe and to the other countries with the trade agreement with EU such as USA.
@@zaferdurusoy8073 Nnnnnoooo… this is the factory in Poland. The TV label shown at the timestamp says “Manufactured in Poland”, and the signs in the shop are written in Polish.

No, I thought that as well, they just receive the frame with the speakers and the video panel assembled from China and finish the TV by mounting the cards, maybe just to show that the TV is made in the USA 😀
I got one, 43 inch, works well, Android, Netflix button on the remote. I've had it for a year. Quick installation. I bought one because it was cheap and assembled in Poland where I come from.

Service is very very poor! I purchased 55 inch led 4 k tv but With in 7 month display problem, they are not rectifying the problem. But They given 3 years warranty

I'm far from being an expert on smart tv's. But by looking at the flimsy plastic cover on these "smart" tv, they are low quality product. Chinese finest junk! You get what you paid for.

The TCl led has no longer performance as after three months the back light problems which is heavy cost I suggest this TV may not be purchased it is only loss of money.
Los veo muy mal calificados imal calificados para hacer ese tipo de trabajo por eso compró de marca LG o Samsung ya que Samsung y LG Sony esas marcas reconocidas y hacen un mejor trabajo ensamblan bien sus piezas no que veo que hay en tcl por su video están mal calificados y mal no cumplen como debe de ser una experiencia bien armar una tele les falta más capacitación

There are only three companies who manufacturer there own tv start to finish Sony Samsung and LG Panasonic only build there top end models themselves with so called entry level tvs being built in Turkey by a company called Vistel companies licence the brand names to low cost producers

Tres simple,achetent les cartes et le boitiers, bien souvent aucune panne et réparation n est recherchée,et s il y a garantie ils changent la carte. Aujourd hui plus aucun plan n est fourni . Il faut revenir a une consommation d entan et intelligente FAITRS RRPARER VOTRE TV. Bien souvent il y en a que pour quelques euros
its SKD (semi knock down) assembly factory. Unfortunately, I am not see an alignment process to meet PAL M standard for Brazil. The employees are not using hand anti static strip.
The TVs shown are for the USA market, so NTSC alignment. Antistatic wristbands are not the only way to prevent ESD damage. Another, which is probably what they have there, is an ESD floor. Special paint on the floor conducts electricity to a ground connection somewhere along a wall. The workers wear ESD footwear, which conducts electricity as well, accomplishing the same thing as an antistatic wristband.
I had LG for 2-3 years and always had problem with LED lamps inside. After 3 times replacing the LED by LG technician, I was tired and tried this brand (TCL). Cheap and so far (more than one year) no problem happened.
These sets are low cost because they are low spec. They are not un reliable, in fact in many country's they have a 3 year warrantee. Most TVs only give you 1 year!!
