Thank you for sharing this! Those teaser trailers for Noir Alley on TCM channel look so good and make eyes sore when I couldn't get access to the programs. More of these episodes please!
wow, great stories! Mitchum saying Douglas was a pampas ass! Is there any chance you have the intro for Too Late for Tears? I copied it, with the film on a DVD when it ran, and when I went to play the movie recently...it would NOT play. I can get the movie, but not the great Eddie Muller info! thanks either way
I wish the host hadn’t cut Mitchum off when he said that in the movie Jane Greer’s dresses got darker w each scene. Sounds like he was coming forth w some great trivia and the host stopped him. Dang.
I never saw this Movie, but I did see Against All Odds which they say was the Remake of this Movie. I haven't see the actual Movie in a While, but I've see the PHil Collins great RU-vid song which shows scenes from the Movie a lot. That Movie was OK. What's her name is really gorgeous in the Movie
My dad would send money at 15 yo in 1916 to his mom ! Kids grew up under-loving parents with work ethic with compassion for others With true Christian love of parents and siblings! That’s all gone now!
All this happy-talk makes me gag. Jane Greer was one of Howard Hughes innumerable mistresses. She got this role, as Hughes owned RKO at the time, and was hardly allowed to work again. Robert Mitchum was hardly the ideal family man portrayed.
@@bill2953 Kirk Douglas was born in December 1916, so he was 29 when filming began in October 1946 and 30 when filming ended in January 1947. He didn't turn 31 until the month after the film was released in November 1947.
