This is like BTCC , forget Aussie V8 that is boring, this is the new pinnacle of motorsport plus the GT championship...I need to start following this....and coming down to the tracks....finally a real motorsport class in Australia..
Couldn't have said it better 👍, Aus V8 racing is boring and has been since the 90s , it's time they stepped down. Funny as TCR is Aus but many cars are lhd .. I'm guessing these cars are ex btcc as soilers and flares seem alike
@@craigobrien3283 thanks for the heads-up 👍 Tho in hindsight, why didn't they build the cars to wtcc spec so they can invite or be invited to race against Europe. Unlike the V8 class which is a deadend series.
@@marty3469 The WTCC, now known as WTCR have run TCR spec since 2018 so they are compatible and therefore eligible for TCR events like the upcoming Spa 500
Elijah Dobkins dunno about that, Moffat was unsteady out of the corner and didn’t go WOT like Cox expected. Not much room to brake (lock up and cause much larger incident). Moffat’s pace was off and his corner exit line was a bit questionable.
Is it just The Bend but the camera work is atrocious, so disjointed. The overseas telecasts really capture the racing - this doesn't. Luckily, its a very good class and the cars sound fantastic!
It's a low cost production used by Shannons Nationals over a number of years to broadcast a livestream. Let's remember the Nationals is largely a gentleman racers meet. I think there's maybe 35 cars combined in the other 4 categories running this weekend. ARG have used SN to launch TCR, secured a late 'live' TV deal using the SN livestream. TCR Aus is in it's infancy, hopefully TCRs growth might benefit all in SN with negotiating a higher std production.
Isnt it just typical Aussie vehicle racing coverage? They have camera somewhere so they are going to make use of it - no matter how bad the picture. Lots of in car views with adverts and stickers on windscreen blocking the view. What amazed me were the interviews taking up only 1/6 screen and not full screen. Actually being able to see cars at same time is so unusual for aussie coverage.
Cox with a 10 sec penalty? very draconian ... clear racing incident ... wet surface on slicks... you want lemmings in a car not racers.. how come Tander didn't get a penalty for weaving to block Cox at the finish?.. I think the stewards were asleep during this race.. or just on BS
Derek Anthony agreed he was weaving in celebration but it’s still weaving and that is against the rules. He should have got a reprimand at the very least!
Pandemonium Lig Moffat came out of the corner unsteady and off throttle, Cox expected him to be on WOT at corner exit and followed suit. It’s a race incident nothing more.
