This is the Stage 4 theme from Touhou 13: Ten Desires Pretty~ it's like a thousand desires resounding and rebounding off of the walls of this.. cave, uh, whatever it is. Music always picks up at Stage 4, it's a fact.
Rule number 1 of touhou arranges : always listen to the original song or else you'll always hear Japanese Goburin on Broken Moon, DokiDoki WakuWaku on Desire Drive, etc
Bruh I never played touhou but been listeing for several of them and I just literally just found out about DokiDoki WakuWaku, got me confused what the original is.
@@swanbaa Indeed. There are non-native trains in Gensokyo (just wait until the Kappa make their own), but only while Yukari is stealing and throwing them at people.
@@glacietheglaceon5584 touhou 17 also picks up at the fourth stage , it just goes on full rockin at that stage , and it starts off with huge projectile spam
@@Criz454 that's stage's theme and Hawlo said that this one was its fav in every category and it's funny to say that a stage's theme can be and ending theme....
This stage theme is beautiful, and it puts me in a calm and happy mood. That is, until I get to the boss. I feel like tearing my hair out every time I fight Seiga and Yoshika!
To be honest, I agree with you now. I wrote that comment while I was having trouble clearing Ten Desires without using continues. I eventually took a break from Ten Desires, then came back to it and cleared it without using continues no problem. Looking back now, she actually is a very toned down (difficulty wise) boss. Not to mention that her stage portion is probably the easiest fourth stage ever.
@@kurtiswilliams2640 I find the difficulty reversed. Like IN's fourth stage, I think the stage is hard, and the boss is rather simple. I can't say that for Reimu, however...
Sophia Wright This is out of context. Desire Drive plays in a stage where you go really fast through a tunnel, like you're in a subway. There's no tunnel and you don't go very fast in a mall.
One time, I was REALLY sick overnight. Couldn't sleep, vomited and had horrible period pains to boot. So, I put on my headphones, opened up Touhou 13, went into the music room and played this, and felt wayyyy better instantly. Ever since then, I've loved this song.
ZUN's comment about the track: "The fourth stage theme. I made it a flowing song to completely switch away from the first half of the game. It feels nice to rush through a narrow space at high speed. This is okay in caves, but don't run in halls at school or in the work office. Caves are nice. (You shouldn't run in a limestone cavern, either.)"
Yes, ZUNpets aren't real instruments... Anyways, yes, i completely agree, ZUN is great. I actually think TD has some great songs in it, i would say True Administrator, Rigid Paradise and this, i actually find it hard to choose one of these as the best But oh well, i am pretty indecise as always :P
While Shanghai Teahouse was the song that introduced me to touhou, *this* is the song that cemented my stay in the fandom. This is my all time favorite song in the entire series.
why did you add the quotes around ten desires? wait...... TEN DESIRES ISN'T REAL CONFIRMED AND ANYONE WHO PLAYS IT GETS SENT TO GENSOKYO???? wait i played ten desires yesterday yay gensokyo time
This & Old Yuanxian back to back are a trip. Desire Drive is pleasant & atmospheric with a sort of hopeful feel, almost like you’re traveling into a realm unknown, while Old Yuanxian is just about the exact opposite, dark, fast-paced & intense, like you’re there in said realm but it’s way more dangerous than you expected. It lines up with how we perceive Seiga. When the heroine encounters Seiga in TD, she acts nice but they seem to catch on to how shady she truly is rather quickly. Her backstory works similarly. We don’t assume much about her at first but then the vile deeds she committed are shown and her true nature is revealed. To me, there aren’t really any other instances of musical storytelling in Touhou that are as strong as this one. Touhou already has lots of great musical storytelling but this is the best usage of it imo
Flying at high speed as I descent into a dark cave of unknown deepness, avoiding obstacles and hoping to find something that fulfill my expectations at it's end. Yeah, that music really makes me feel driven by desires, and I enjoy it a lot!
One of my favorite songs just in general, and definitely my favorite stage theme in this series. Something about this song speaks to me, and I can't even describe what it is. It's just such an overwhelming feeling that's a combination of several emotions that are too complex or perhaps too subtle for me to properly put into words. Either way, this song is a delight every time I hear it, and I can at least say with certainty that I love it dearly.
I really like this. So beautiful. Seiga is pretty hard, but not NEARLY as hard as the Prismrivers, but harder than Satori, and sort of Reimu and Marisa.
I've heard, I did a 1cc of IN and the only times I tripped up was silly mistakes on Kaguya. I find her slightly harder than Eirin. As for normal, I can agree because I could barely get past Keine...
Touhou and Sailor Moon Lover I'm working on an IN lunatic clear at the moment.... final A, furthest I've gotten is Eirin's first spellcard, "Genealogy of the Skyborn". Had I not derped up major in stage 6 that would've gotten much further but oh well. When I first began I couldn't 1cc normal either... Keep going, with time you'll 1cc normal easy! :P
pcb stage 4 on any difficulty is a nightmare it's long with alot of fast paced bullets, as well as lily having like a billion bullets she shoots at you, and the prismrivers are just so unfairly hard. the capital city of flowers in the sky is such a good song though.
After listening to Lost My Way and Give Up On It, listening to THIS just feels so awesome. I feel like a reverse Touhou fan cuz I've loved all these remixes for a while but still have yet to play a Touhou game or listen to the ost's.
Although I actually like Seiga's theme more than this track, it's no doubt one of the best songs from this installment. Even cooler with the in-game sound effects, especially those homing bullets' low electronic humming
God damn, what is it with Touhou and stage 4 themes in particular. Voile, Capital City of Flowers, Autumnal Waterfall, Interdimensional Voyage, Desire Drive, all honestly among the best themes in their games. Even now, Obsolescent Industrial Remains is probably in my top 3 songs from UM
Somehow this is one of the most iconic tracks to come from post-classic era touhou? This is the song I most commonly hear outside the fandom outside of the mof stage 3 theme. Not that I'm complaining
Well, I just recently found out that I like posting poetic descriptions on videos, so here comes another one: In a cave were vengeful spirits sleep and the dead dance, there is nothing to be found but an angry soul, one who rises the dead, one who looks forward to the return of the saint. The desires rebound, coming from one's heart and reflecting back to them from the cold stone, reminding them of where they truly wish to be. And beyond it all is a mausoleum unlike any other, built to house a prince. Here the dead are not dead, and the living are walking on a thread between life and the end. Here there is in store for all a final battle, one which may tell you more of yourself than any mirror known to humanity.
+Bravigaufre NO,basically Seiga did nor hold air/wind powers like Sonic. If you want to do Touhou Sonic for a danmaku game, smack Super Sonic inside. If you dare you can use Sonic F.A.S.E. 4 with jorosahe's permission. 西方天狗 索尼克马露理斯 Western Tengu Sonic Maulice BGM:Lost Tengu-Live and Learn/(Super)Tengu God Punisher/(Fase 3)Tengu's Pet of Destrution/(Fase 4)F.A.S.E. 4-Ultimate Pet of Tengu/(EXPLOSIVE MODE[?])Last Brutal Tengu-Ultimate Tengu World Ruler
So... this is my third comment. I think i should make this a tradition. I will comment on this video every year then! This stage them is still the best! I love it to the core! This ost resembles my purpose in life! 😍🥰 And I just hope I can keep listening to desire drive for the rest of my life.
Yeah, i'm here again. I still love this stage theme 😂❤. No, seriously... It is soooooo gooood. I listened to it like 100 000 times at this point. Seiga became one of my favourite characters JUST because of her stage theme. Desire Drive is, like, my second name now 😂😂😂. Ok-ok just kidding, but it certainly is the best touhou ost for me. And that's saying something because i've been listening to touhou music for... (I literally had to search for notes on this one) 5-6 years ? Yeah, i listened to many tracks and arranges. (Including doki-doki waku-waku and the other one stack sang. Btw My favourite arrangement of this track is tanigon's piano jazz version, it is fire 🔥🔥🔥)
Here some magical thing happen in your head, this music will automatic pop put in your head when hearing the Spirit World Version. Here the trick, first listen this music about 3 minute long, and then listen Disire Drive+Spirit World Version about 3 minute long ( or can you skip it ), finally go listen Spirit World Version.
