The recent QoL updates of tdx made artillery and edj a lot better to use, and one more thing i wanted to point out is how smooth tdx's code is. I haven't encounter any bugs in tdx nor anyone mentions any significant bugs, while in tds every update will break something, this is phenomenal since tdx's dev team is like 40% smaller than paradoxium
@headlessjaxe2231 agreed, I could handle pre event tdx with my shitty 2019 phone, but now after warship existed, it crashed on the fking *LOBBY*, and John say "It's oPtiMAzed" (Tho I can't even load the lobby in tds)
tdx feels pretty anti-player, first we got lootboxes with a 98% chance to just get recolors and now most updates just tend to be nerfing rewards to increase how grindy the game is (making modes reward less and moving grinding maps down in difficulty)
Seems like John tries to make rewards balanced, but he doesn't know how exactly. Rewards should be designed the way so you need to play some matches to get a certain tower, but don't play straight 24/7.
@@raghavtiwari1000 Bro says that tower prices became higher with latest updates. Quests are good, but rewards for completing them should be higher and gamemodes rewards also should be increased. TDS and TDX are both pretty grindy games, so they both need to do something with this, otherwise they either die at the end of the day or will be the same because of this. The big difference between TDS and TDX is for now content: TDS has more of it, but quality of it isn't the best; TDX, on other side, has less content, bur quality of it is better.
To be completely honest, both are good but I prefer the TDX features more, since the victory emotes were introduced I was hyped as hell to play it already and I got almost every tower in just a month (im not gonna grind warship unless if im bored) Although TDS is more popular you gotta be surprised when a td game on roblox is actually matched against TDS and no im not including others cuz for example: tower battles almost gets no updates and tower heroes goes full on cartoony. Overall as long as people are happy with these game then the developers work paid off.
Id go with tdx. You can tell by the animations and the designs that john worked a lot on this game. This game is amazing. What is really cool is how they pulled a move like tower blitz and made 2 upgrade paths making the game much more repayable. There is also very difficult parts like expert mode. The game is constantly getting updated with the plan being once a month. This game is amazing and the collab with the grandfather of all roblox td games is amazing
@@Random_-ky3li tds forces you to grind hardcore for accel and engi its painful and even worse is golden crate even using violet party strat you need about 50 wins to get 1 single crate to get something like golden cowboy that now can be worse than the normal cowboy in certain situations since they nerfed it so hard
I've been playing tds since day one and tower battles before that so I've been playing defense games for a long time and look tds is a good game with some great stuff, however I prefer tdx its what I want from a td game and while it hasn't been out long they've been keeping up with new updates and fixing any tiny bugs that come up. In the end its your choice for which is better.
About nerfing rewards they nerfed elite mode but expert mode rewards got buffed ALOT you can get nearly 2k gold if beat it in hard maps and you get 12k exp. Only issue I have is finding players to play with so I hope they will add random matchmiking soon
fun fact: plague doctor becomes revived plague doctor, but eradicator mk1 does not become mk2. mk1 will return, most likely in impossible in a stronger form. this is hinted by doctor xenon in the winter event.
Tds and is better FOR NOW since tds has much more content right now, but as for tdx, its only recently released so content is not much, imo i prefer tds rather than tdx
First of all your some random 2022 tds player that thinks they are good at the game well guess what you aren’t there are way more things to do in tds rather than in tdx and tdx is literally copying tds old stuff like the swat vans johns ability and so on and tdx is already dying (and you guys are playing tdx not because you like it but because John Roblox made it).
Just play both. The argument of, "Why should I play TDX if I am just going to lose all my progress in TDS and have to start over," is just stupid. Same thing vice versa with saying that TDX is 100% better than TDS. Both TD games bring different things to the table, TDS is overall easier as there is a huge skill gap between the easy modes (molten, fallen.) and the super hard modes (polluted wastelands, hardcore). TDX has a much more linear skill progression, easy mode being actually easy, intermediate forcing noobs to use their brain (or more likely have help from their friend), etc. However TDX does still have a HUGE gap between getting Laser Gunner and getting Juggernaut/Rail-gunner. However, overall in my opinion TDX is better: more beginner friendly, overall just better balancing, two tower paths, specialized towers (being good at one thing but not another), and just a better dev team that actually takes feedback and listens to the community.
@@leonardotrujillo8661 Have you even played TDX for more than 30 minutes? In TDX you can literally win the easiest mode in the game with just the starting tower. Compare that to TDS where the scout is utter trash. There is a clear meta in TDS which is the accelerator and engineer. Both of these take MUCH longer to grind for compared to TDX. In TDX you can at least WIN the easiest mode to get to the next tower. You also have the advisor to give actual tips to noobs who first play the game. In TDS you have to either grind by losing the game modes or find a higher level to carry you.

As someone like me who played tower batlles in its prime time, then tds AT the day of release and tdx, i prefer tdx more, i just find it satisfying in a way playing it, tds is fun too but when you get the high end towers, it just becomes so repetitive, events do make a change temporarily but then it goes like rest is history. And also, tdx difficulty is slighty challenging, an instance is like xmas nightmare, you can just get on RU-vid and watch somebody beating it but actually trying to is completely different, in tds, personally it is way easier and the basic modes arent getting any changes since the last ones (expect the events, theyre challenging) In short: Try tdx and see if my opinion matches
If you watch John’s videos, you would know that TDX isn’t copied from TB because John asked for a collab and planet3arth had agreed to have some references to TB which is why they’re are skins and enemies from TB
tdx is for more experienced TD players that have being paying for years due to its increased difficulty spike caused by the tower health, double paths and generally harder wave structure whereas tds, with its more cartoonish style and single upgrade path its more newer players to the TD genre.
In my opinion its pretty equal, i like both games but im leaning more into tdx as of now. tds feels a lot more repetitive than tdx in my opinion but in the same time tds is also usually more fun as it allows dumber strategies and still win without trying much. Also, Come on both has such good music The Gee J and Phoqus makes OSTs that makes you ascend into another reality
Tower blitz was so good back than (2022 ) ı think 2022 was tbz prime year the battlepass, tower ,skins and winter event that had 3 different night with released different day (like solar eclipse) it was so good back than but now they just shitted on it the quest you cant get blitz of something ıdk the name of the space ship but ı know that you cant get it without the quest and repeating events ı understand that they discontinued cuz of low players and focused on evade but tower blitz was used to be so damn good

if im beeing honest progressing threw tdx feels a little more fun. HOWEVER tds still feels more enjoyable with all of these modes to play. I dont enjoy progressing in tds that much anymore cuz i got all the main stuff besides golden towers, so tdx is more fun to grind in overall but the big big issues i find is that, john nerfs absolutely everything. You post a youtube video of you winning and john goes like "nerfing brb" which i dont like tbh, i loved oil rig and now its simple. Like you cant tell me it got the simple rating before apocalypse.
I don't think we can make a comparation yet, TDS is a already complete game while TDX still in a open beta release. Things in TDX *WILL* change, they need time to balance it out

@@luongluu3793 comparing a game being in development to a fully released game doesn't work like that. because an unreleased game doesn't get much feedback even if you include the beta testers, since testers won't find every bug and can't predict how well the title will be received.

I quit tds because it was way too laggy as the devs made it too much. Like srs did they even care for low end devices? And there are much toxic players as tds is pretty old. Many people played it for a long time and becoming tryhards or trolls.
I quit TDS years ago because it became boring after speedrunning Molten mode in record time over and over again. Then, I tried TDX, played it a few times, never came back, and quit tower defence games.
Both is alright But if you want something new and up for challenge then go for tdx If you want something simple and easy then go for tds ( yes both do Grindy as heck)

it took em 2 years to make the vigilante update.in tdx they dont do that shit they released something that tds couldnt in 2 years they just made crates 3 weeks after its release.

My friend pointed out something that I defiantly agree with. "TDX just spams hordes of enemy's in hopes of being original," Multiple times this has happened for example Elite Grenadier and Multipliers but also just the waves themselves.
It's not that bad for the earlier waves but eventually it just starts spamming a bunch of crap at you and the boss while you spam even more crap at it to win Many of the hardest waves for me are actually early game (for example, wave 8 and 10 of Xmas nightmare)
People say the gambling in this game ruins it while they're dumb little brains dont even know a single easy win means you get the crate tower heroes also have this and no one is talking about it because the crates were cheap like a single easy gamr can unlock it
I'm going to be honest, I will use all experience I have to compile this short comment. Every time I play TDS, the game either A. Crashes or B. Some sort of latency / ping issue causing everything to freeze. I have never had the problem in TDX and TDX has always ran smooth for me. Also I just want to point out that TDS is a much older game, while TDX is much newer. TDS has had time to make new game modes and events etc... While TDX has only had time for currently one seasonal event.
your opinion is based on your device. ive never had problems in either games. in fact, i manage to get more fps on tds than tdx. but i know not everyone has the same device.

Now it’s my turn to show you why devices in TDS would crash. -TDS is an older game, and overtime, they overused pieces which crashed people with different devices (we don’t include PC since they already do well) -TDX has only been in Roblox for 2 months, and they use tons of assets, but make sure they don’t have issues with low end devices. -Certain players can not use the right side of the screen on TDS. So again, shut up, and live under a rock.
Not entirely. I run a RTX 3060 with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS and 16gb of Ram. I used to never have this problem with TDS and in fact always worked even on my lower end devices. So I'm really not sure. @@vezern.

Both are good in their ways: the gameplay, the design, the animations etc. But if you compare the playerbases, they are literally almost the exact same. You got the nice people and the toxic people. And the TDX and TDS playerbase, for some reason, hate eachother and both will start arguing about what game is better if they see a singular opinion that is a bit different from them. Idk who the hell compares the community but i just wanna say how ridiculous both communities are.
In my opinion TDX is better since just from like a month of release, it already had a lot in store. Sure it isn’t as much as TDS but seeing how recent it is, can you really say that? Being new and being able to compare to TDS is a win. If TDX stays in this direction (of course not overworking devs) then it might just surpass TDS by a mile. I hope that the hype won’t die down before they can even show what the most they can offer is.
this comment didnt age well... tdx died faster than other td game. also all of that content was in development from 2021-2023, and lots of updates were just unreleased content.
honestly graphics are obviously better for tdx, in tds they dont add background to maps, while tdx actually adds background to their map and the tds tower models are more cartoonish while tdx tower models are much more higher quality
@@enchanted3820 tds doesnt make them super high quality since its cartoony. you do realize almost every tdx skin is just a recolor of the base skin, unlike tds which makes a whole new skin (like ice witch and mage accelerators) because they aren't so complicated.
