My mind is officially blown that ANY of the props and set pieces from Mr Rogers even still exist let alone so many familiar ones. What a great vlog Adam!
It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Thank you for this vlog Adam! I feel like a child again now. I also grew up watching Mr Rogers and I miss him so much. I was almost in tears myself so don't feel bad about that! Before I watched I thought perhaps you were in Latrobe because that was his birthplace. I'm not sure where Latrobe is located but if you can find it perhaps they make mention of him there as well. Might be someplace you care to at least make a fast stop off in even ifyou don't vlog it. Thanks Adam! Another wonderful vlog! I'm going to have a smile on my face all day now thinking about Mr Rogers! MAGICAL and MAJESTIC! Have a good one and safe travels to you!
Fred Rogers-A real American hero. Truly a classy guy. He had one television show that I could absolutely let my kids watch without any reservations. The world would be a better place if we all followed his advice.
Thank you Adam, beautiful piece. In my TV career I was lucky enough to meet Mr Rogers a few times and he was indeed the real deal. Once when he appeared on the Tonight Show I took my four year old daughter backstage just to see him and in the middle of all the activity he saw her, walked over, got down on his knee and gave her five minutes of conversation and attention. I still get misty thinking about it. A true gentleman.
My 10 year old son and I enjoy watching your vlogs together. One of the main reasons is because you don't use a lot of profanity, and we can both LEARN from watching your videos. I enjoy how you take time to research your surroundings and actually teach your viewers. Thank you for putting out such great content!
Adam, I can't thank you enough for keeping these vlog's just about "G" rated. There is no need for profanity. It shows an extremely high level of professionalism by finding real words to describe things. Now You might need to expand your Flower knowledge to learn other flowers then petunias. :) This channel is the only one I recommend. Thanks for keeping it clean. Mr. Rogers Style!
I'm really glad you don't cuss and use profanity in your vlogs. Not because it is offensive to me but it proves you don't have to cuss and make dirty jokes to be entertaining. It shows that you are mindful and respectful of the demographic of your audience too. Seeing all the young people at your meet ups who so adorably immitate your bottle crush and 'It's the daily woooooooo' catch phrase proves just how closely the little ones are paying attention. Being a parent myself I know there is a lot of content on the internet that I wouldnot want to explain to a young child and it is such a relief and nice to know that kids can watch you and parents don't have to censor or explain something filthy you just said. Thanks for that Adam! Thanks for being a decent guy, it means a lot!
Sarah Conklin totally agree! To each their own, and I wouldn't want to stop anybody from using whatever kind of language they wanted, but personally even though I'm not offended easily I enjoy "good clean fun" that I can share with everyone else without having to worry whether they're going to be offended or not.
LOL LOL LOL you're killing me howie! If he is such a weirdo and a scumbag why are you watching his vlogs? You can trust that my eyes are wide open and I can see who the true weirdo is in this situation. Thank you for your concern though and good day, sir!
Straight up goose bumps, especially seeing the trolley, always wished it would pick me up and take me away from reality for a bit. Seeing the castle, the tree, puppets especially the main set took me back to a time of innocence. Best TDW for me up to this point, started watching 2 and half years ago. Job well done!
Thanks for keeping it clean! Mr. Rogers and Mr. Dress up here in Canada were true gentlemen who actually talked and communicated with a number of generations. It hits a sentimental core of of our childhood that will live on. Adam don't forget it. Actually, having material without profanity shows a level of intelligence!
I love your enthusiasm for the sweet innocence that Mr. Rogers was. It's never inappropriate for a grown man to cry, Adam, when it means so much to you. Oh, and I hope to heaven you washed your hands thoroughly with soap and water after the bird poo incident. I almost threw up! Glad I wasn't eating breakfast at the time.
We Pittsburghers were blessed to have Fred as a neighbor- the rest of the USA was blessed to have him as a “nearby” neighbor! We’re glad to share him with people all over the United States!
My thoughts exactly. You embody the essence of Mr. Rogers in more ways then one. You entertain, teach, and are appropriate for the kiddies. You are the first blogger I started watching and you have opened my eyes to a different world. So thank YOU Mr. Woo
Thank you for this! my favorite show as a kid. my sister and I used to take turns with tv time. I always got to watch Mister Rogers Neighborhood before she turned it to the Brady bunch.. What a great sight to see his "set"
TheDailyWoo when I started my channel of daily vlogging, I always showed my shoes and shirt to start the vlog, in homage to the shoes and sweater intro Mister Rogers did. much like you said, I try and keep the mister Rogers model in mind of not cussing as well
greetings from Coventry England. another beautiful location... we all know the effort you put in to make us all feel like were on holiday for ten minutes a day... just what we need before we go to work. were in love with the states without even stepping one foot on your glorious shores... Please keep it going Adam. col and mags.
Colin Brandist haha true!! Same here (Cardiff!). I'm pretty obsessed with America and visit as often as possible, and Adam's videos are a great way of seeing more of that fascinating country while I'm stuck at home in rainy Wales!
No need to be sorry or 'correct yourself, Colin. Most of us do know that holiday is the PROPER English term for going on vacation. ;) I hope you and Mags get to visit America on holiday some time. Perhaps you will run into Adam and Large Marge during your travels! :D
My childhood would have been a lot different without Fred Rogers. I'm a Steelers fan! I've been to Pittsburgh 6 times to see football games. I've walked across those bridges many of times. I love the history of Ft. Pitt & General Washington. I love that city. Great vlog Adam. I love what you do!!
Eddie R it's not weird buddy.. I'm from Indiana and I'm a Steelers fan who lives in Tampa lol my friend is a Dolphins fan also and he is from Minnesota. I wish my boss was a Steelers fan too maybe we would get along better lol
I was born in the Pittsburgh area and, I loved Mr. Rogers growing up. He will always be missed. You are the Fred Roger's for adults Adam. You go to different places and, show different things like he did around Pittsburgh. Disney World and, Disneyland is like the neighborhood of make believe. I love the fact that you don't swear or use curse words. I don't do that either unless I'm really really mad. People who do that don't sound good either.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us Adam - Your connection to Mr. Rogers is truly touching, and I share that emotion. I have to admit that you brought a tear to my eye with today's vlog. AND FUN FACT - Today is actually the official "Say Something Nice Day" - Perfect day for this video to be posted - www.timeanddate.com/holidays/fun/say-something-nice-day
Wow, I was literally just there. The dark lighting was not ideal for filming in therr huh? Such an amazing experience. Bought the blue Mr. Rogers T Shirt!
WOW! I will always remember Mr Rogers. For a human being, He's a pure as one can be. I watched his show all the time. He is missed BIG Time. Thank you for creating this video.
That Mr Rogers exhibit was so cool. He was such a legit caring and compassionate man that everyone could look up to. They shot Mister Rogers' Neighborhood in Toronto as well for the first few years at the CBC studios. ps. Any plans to head up to Canada anytime soon?
Fred Rogers was a giant among men, and quite possibly the single most influential person in the history of television. He not only represented what is best in caring about the education and wellbeing of children both en mas and as individuals, he also represented what is best in humanity, prioritizing their knowledge and fostering their ability to fit into a rapidly changing world and that fear and anger were to be felt and handled constructively, just like any other emotion or feeling. We couldn't miss him more than we do today. He was always a mountain of stability for us in a world of questions, wonder and chaos. Do yourself a giant favor and watch Tom Hanks' portrayal of him in the movie A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. It will forever change for the better how you feel about a man you already know and love. 😀
Thank you Adam for doing this one. I too loved Mr. Rogers growing up, rarely ever missed an episode. And I for one want to thank you for not having a lot of profanity in your videos. I'm not necessarily offended by it, but its a nice refreshing change. So keep up the good work Adam the Woo!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate the effort you put into creating vlogs that are family friendly. You always cover interesting details about the amazing locations you travel through on your journeys. My entire family enjoys them including all of the catch phrases. Anytime we come across birds it's "Hitchcock would be Proud!". You seem to cover many things of interest to me from my childhood as I am 43 years old. Keep up the good work Adam!
Adam, you are a heck of a guy. it's easy to fall to the lowest point in anything, it's hard to take the high road. But you do it and we enjoy that! Mr. Rodgers would be proud!
This is absolutely one of your very best blogs, Adam. I thank you for sharing your videos and your world with us. I'm glad you got to see this and Mister Rogers it's truly an inspiration to us all...
Once upon a time, when Mr Rogers was the commencement speaker at a local university, the college president startled the assembly by playing a piano intro and joining Fred in remembering their own commencement. He had not planned on becoming a college president; Fred had definitely not planned on becoming Mr. Rogers. They dreamed of Broadway! * And then Fred quietly explained how fortunate we are if we become ourselves... (OK, I'm sniffling now.)
Hollywood and the media think we all enjoy profanity and it is necessary for their success. How very wrong they are. We all need to let them know how very wrong they are by not patronizing profanity in movies, music or tv. Wow, that'll cut down on just watching Adam the WOO! Sounds good!
Robert Moore and in real life, he was a wonderful man who was an early childhood educator and preacher, who fought in DC for funding for educational programming on public access stations and was respected by all and loving.
Maria Donatello some might say. Im actually an atheist but mr rogers to me is so loving and wonderful to all with his work with children and educational programs about being your best self and that everyone matters that he reminds me of the teachings of jesus
I actually shed some tears on this vlog. Mr Rogers was such a huge part of my life. and I try to instill those values onto my 3 year old. he was an amazing man. thanks for inviting us on this journey Adam. have a fantastic day!! .......I think I need to re apply my mascara now .....
Thank you for providing clean content that my whole family can watch. It's quite refreshing in todays world to not have to worry about what is going to be said in a youtube video. Keep up the great work!
Check out The Andy Warhol Museum. Also, you should try a sandwich from Primanti Brothers. The sandwiches are almost famous. The story goes is they have everything on it because the dock workers back in the day needed something quick to eat. So they made these sandwiches with the sides fries and coleslaw on the sandwich, beef or turkey on an Italian bread. It's delicious. It's right up your culinary alley.
My kids had an opportunity to meet Adam and Jacob in San Antonio last March. They're both genuinely kind and gracious people - it was an honor to meet them :)
This is awesome! I used to watch Mister Rogers Neighborhood, The Muppets , Fraggle Rock, and many other PBS children shows when I was a child. Man those were the days.
I found you last night. I've been watching a lot of your videos. By the 3rd one I subscribed. Every single video made me smile for one reason or another. But this one...this one got me. It warmed my heart. Thank you for being so engaging, positive and relatable. Great channel!
Profanity is a bad habit and hard to break. Hearing it seems to make it spread like an epidemic. Thank you for reminding us that it's not necessary to use it to enjoy things and have a good time. Also, thank you for bringing us video content that reminds us of a simpler and kinder time in our lives. God Bless you.
Thank You sooooo much for sharing this with us. I grew up watching Mr. Rogers and this brought me back to a very happy time. I can't wait to share this with my kids❤️
Thanks for this video Adam. I have to admit, I got kinda teary eyed sitting here at work. Although I am only a few hours away in York Pennsylvania, I have never been there to these places. Mister Rogers, was an incredible part of childhood. Brings back so many memories. The world would be a much better place if everyone treated each other in the same way Fred Rogers treated people. I have some things I need to work on with my life and this has just given me the motivation to do so. Thanks Mister Rogers and Adam the Woo for bringing this change to me.
Thank you Adam for this great video, like you I grew up with this show. Thanks you also for making the effort to keep your videos appropriate for everyone. Look forward to your updates every day!
I really respect you for paying such a great tribute to a great man. I have been feeling a little depressed lately and went back to see my old neighbor to help cheer me up. He was the most important person in television history and a true American hero.
Great video Adam! I think we all remember and love Fred Rogers! I never knew there was a preservation like that of his show memorabilia. What a find! Thanks for sharing!
Hey Adam don't underestimate yourself. The reason I've become a Woovian is because of your content and presentation. I have read a lot of the comments from your vlogs over the past couple of years and I know that I speak for many of your followers when I say people really love you because of who you are....a good soul. Just like Mr. Rogers. Thanks for the endless journey.
My heart is warm after looking at this blog. Thanks so much Adam. I never knew these precious archives were here. I will for sure go visit them. Mr Rogers was such a big part of my childhood. Thank you Adam💙
That was cool and brought back a lot of memories. I, for one, appreciate that you keep your videos family friendly. I've always looked at it as, hey, certain comic books and tv shows were written 30-40 years ago still manage to entertain us because they could tell a good story without the adult language or implying something else kids wouldn't get. Keep up the good work, Sir!
Thank you for this Vlog Adam. This one ranks up into my top 10 possibly even my top 5 of all the Vlogs I’ve seen of yours. As you I also grew up watching Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. This location is definitely now on my Bucket List of places to see.
Still one of my favorite vlogs from you- you really showed what a really decent and honorable man you are! Mr. Rogers did a great job influencing your early life!
Adam, you have such a way with words. You put my feelings about Mr. Rogers into words beautifully. I really admired him. In 1986 I took my daughter to see him live on stage. It was a great experience. I once wrote to him, and he wrote back to me. He was a wonderful advocate for children. A great man.
