I'm native american but I'm still dance too all native tribes, including The Polynesian tribe's. You can feel the love and pride and this makes my heart fly and sing along.💗
You know….it’s kinda horse shit that this hasn’t happened yet. They are the ones who sang the songs, they’re already a traveling band….I’m almost, ALMOST as mad about this as the fact that “The princess and the frog” isn’t a musical yet. Don’t lie, those sets would be way better. But I do want Moana the musical with the whole family band!!!
Oo! What about a musical with the original cast... except the dad coz his songs were sung by Chris Jackson and as much as I love him and his voice, it should be a Polynesian actor on stage
My favorite version of this song. Even over the soundtrack. Awesome group! This may surprise some of you but there is also a stunning version of this featuring Alex Boyé with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra. All that said, Te Vaka owns this song!
Listening to these songs makes me want to save up my money to go on one of their islands for my vacations. I'll go anywhere, where there's beach and where's hot.

I've been seeing all these vids and it makes me bittersweet because I'm so glad that Disney made a princess for the Polynesian people but at the same time I am sad that we, Hispanics, don't have a princess like this.
You know what our cultures have traded items food ect: no time to explain but back in the day. Polynesians north south Americans... we made contact with yo so we are closer then you think.
