Eimar, you are a GREAT storyteller. I, too, am a Medical Herbalist so I get a lot more out of this story than many would. And your discussion at the end was good - I found myself jumping in re Plantain - narrow-leaf is Ribwort, an upper respiratory herb while broad-leaf is the Plantain you spoke of, which is great for skin irritations, insect stings and so forth.
