I have a quick question. I'm currently thinking about getting my TEFL certificate (the 200 hour lvl. 5 online course to be specific) and I was wondering if when I get my certification if I could pick the group of students I would teach. I would be interested in teaching high school age kids or perhaps college freshmen English but I simply wouldn't be interested in teaching grade school kids. (i.e. kindergarteners or 1st graders, not really my thing) I should mention I do have a Bachelor's degree so I imagine that would be an advantage when it comes to finding jobs abroad.
Each country and way of teaching is different. In some countries it’s much easier to find jobs teaching kids (Vietnam for example) so you’ll want to carefully research where to teach.
