She is so fun to train! What’s also fun is that she’s related to Whip (her mother is genetically identical to Whip from a different litter). It’s so fun to see how so many of their behaviors and ways of learning are identical. Genetics are such a strong influence on dog behavior!

A trick very specific for a certain size of dogs that are agile aswell. Imagine doing this with a StBernard 😂

🤣 I’ve done it with a dog up to around 60 lbs. that’s about my limit or I need to be up against a wall. But there’s definitely safer tricks for larger dogs ;)

So nice and I like all your health and growth plates info you stated before And even older dogs shouldn’t do this either. I don’t think anything over like seven or eight. The settle Cooley is very cute. Is it yours? I know it’s becoming a trend with the agility people.

Such a great point WatchMoivies! There is definitely a range of younger AND older dogs that shouldn't do this trick (at least not repetitively). The merle Koolie is my CoolWhip and Pique, the brown dog, is my friend's Koolie. She is actually a relative of CoolWhip! She's the daughter of Whip's genetically identical (different litter) sister! It's so funny watching how many of their behaviors and training styles are identical!

If I have a smaller dog (a 20 lb cavalier) how would you modify this trick for them since aiming for your stomach while standing would probably be too high for him?

Depending on the dog - it could be too high. Perhaps off the side of your thigh/hip?
