Teach Your Dog To Roll Over With 3 Simple Steps! 

Hey guys welcome back! Today I'm going to share about how to teach your dog a very simple and fun trick, which is also very easy to teach, and it is Roll Over.
Now, l'm gonna make the steps as simple as possible. What you will need is just a treat, you can use kibbles, chickens, eggs or whatever u want, to motivate and lure your dog. Now step one, start in a down position. So in order to nail this trick, your dog must know the basic lie down command. Now normally when I'm training my dog Kai to lie down, I will always correct him if he's lying down in a sloppy position, so he could always perform the sphinx position when lying down. But this time is different, when your dog is in a good down position, grab the treat in your hand and lure it from infront of your dog's nose to his or her sides. Now when your dog tries to reach it, they will kinda lean to the side, in the position which I called sloppy down position. So again this is step two, show the treat infront of your dog then lure it to their sides. Now if they are in this position all you need to do is step three, lure the treat over, so they would roll over to reach it. At first it might be confusing for them, and you can help them using your hand first. And when they start to roll over give the treat and tons of praises. Redo the steps again and again, cause, you know repetition is the key. When they finally start to understand the trick, start to introduce the verbal cue, "roll over", and start to remove the lure using gesture, and later on test them by only saying the verbal cue "roll over". So again a quick recap:
1. Start by lying down
2. Lure the treat to their sides
3. Lure the treat over
Now this trick might not be taught overnight, some dogs might take days, weeks, so be very patient with the process.
