The teachers and staff at The Covenant School did everything they could to protect and comfort the students on Monday. Volunteers who were staged at the reunification center at Woodmont Baptist Church said they were so impressed.
Despite the casualties, I'm glad that all the staff and teachers had this vital training for this situation. My hat is off to the teachers, staff, minister, and first responders. They all did a super job. Having a brother for a teacher, I know that this circumstance is never easy. Special praise to the service dog as well who help begin the healing process for all these students and staff. My prayers are with the victims family, the teachers, the pastor and his family, and the police and EMT staff. God hold each of you in his loving arms.
Never have been a parent, but I was a teacher and I can say when your focus is your kids and they're in danger, your mind shuts down on your own fear and your energy is directed solely to keeping those kids safe and secure to the best of your ability. I pray these men and women have received the support and counseling THEY deserve in the aftermath of all this along with the children and their families!
Teachers were definitely Heros !!! I think teachers are Heros everyday they are in the classroom with their students. Thank you so much for your actions that helped save lives on this very sad day.
@@janet5135 sorry , I did not mean all the mentally ill, but lots of are related to aggression violence especially the one ps with schizophrenia such as antisocial,maniac, suicidal,severe depression you name. According to American psychiatry association ,Mental illness may increase the likelihood of committing violence in some individuals, Overall, those psychiatric patients who are violent have rates of repeated aggression somewhere between the general population and a criminal cohort. Numerous studies have shown significant rates of mental illness in criminal populations. Of course, substance abuse, 30 of Alzheimer’s displays violent behavior. That is why you see lots of violence at ER room, in the hospital. They need to be treated and some needed to be away from family and society due to the high risk of violence. Imagine they have guns
Let’s focus on how well everyone reacted in this tragedy. It’s more important than actually doing something to avoid this type of tragedy. Americans are becoming well trained to accept gun violence. Guns are the #1 cause of death to children in the US. What kind of sick statistic is that.

Honestly people who don't understand the "serve and sacrifices daily" are people who twist it the way you want.
