All our dogs learn simple obedience behaviors and in this video we are teaching a puppy how to sit and heel. While this is the beginning stages of obedience, it will set us up for success in the future. Also, it's worth mentioning how cute Buddy is.

In the case of heel, what if the dog is pulling on the leash trying to get ahead? How do you keep slack on the lead if the dog is pulling? Great video as always.

pop to the side (as best you can), don't pull back on the lead. great question!

My dog is struggling a bit with heeling. Sits well, and is a very sharp pup. He absolutely HATES a leash. Constantly jerks away from the leash and bites at absolutely everything. It’s likely something I’m doing wrong but how can I get him to quit biting the leash, and will not let me put a collar on him without a fight. Any tips for getting him to calm down on a leash and while I’m putting a collar on him?
