It was great to see Nile's eyes lighten up when he noticed he could actually do this - and he did! Love to see the two of you together. You're a great teacher and he trusts you.

THIS is why I started watching Nile Wilson because no matter what, good or bad, he always out 110% into whatever he was doing and would not let go until something had been achieved. It was great to see that spark again. More of this please 🙂

I'm actually kind of shocked that Nile's never done that skill before. Well done!

I love these learning new skills vids. You can really see how good of a teacher you are and how great Nile really is at gymnastics still. It might feel nice to do but i love the look of that. Great job

Not a gymnast, l'm a dancer and teacher, and l love the clear instruction and positive support. I've gotten the choreographers who just frown and say "do it again". Excellent teaching, Mr. Watson!

I love, love, love watching how you explain and learn skills. It's brilliant to watch the progress and see the slight adjustments that make the difference. Way to go, Ash and Nile! ❤❤❤

OK I'm clearly no gymnast, but the way stuff was broken down I kept catching myself nodding my head as understanding you dissect the skill. Great coaching and understand of this sport, I'm a fan of this sport now through these videos!

Crazy! Great job to Nile and great job to Ash for coaching him through it. My body is so deconditioned and I have so much pain daily, I don't think I could even do a simple round off, back handspring back tuck anymore. My joints and even multiple muscles are so messed up but I miss gymnastics SOOO much. Gymnastics and swimming gave me purpose. Now my purpose is to work and pay bills. How exciting. 🙄 It's so funny when I watch the vids though because my muscle memory will start firing as I'm watching. My hubby laughs because he'll see my muscles twitch as my brain is seeing what's being done in the vids. We definitely do NOT lose that! I started swimming to keep in shape and ended up in swimming comps as well.

Such beautiful form. Know we know why our coaches always told us "knees straight, toes pointed". You don't even notice how sloppy it looks until you seem someone with perfect form. And a rocking bod doesn't hurt

Ashley you are an amazing coach! You guys are such a talented bunch of gymnasts and athletes. So glad you're still continuing in the sport and helping others learn new skills (even Nile lol)

You guys make so much entertaining/funny content, but this is a joy to watch too - watching professionals seriously learn new skills and coach each other through weaknesses is a treasure. It has to be great for younger gymnasts who are still learning/competing too. If retired (competitively, anyway; y'all aren't fully retired imo since you still practice the sport regularly and still make livings from it) athletes who've had injuries can still learn new skills, then it's a great motivator for them! I'd love to see more content like this. (Watching Joanna learn skills is great, too!)

Nile, of course, has the knowledge and understanding to take your instruction and put it into practice! Well done! So where did the ‘Mate’ come from? That’s a new addition I think. 😄

Wow!!!!I lOVED this episode!!! Ive been a coach and kinesiologist working with all age and levels of athletes in many sports (gymnastics, synchro swim, were the main ones but i worked with athletes from at least 10 different sports...) for 25 years. This is a process we rarely see and its soooo satisfying! You gus are sooo good at what you do and studied it for so many years so you are expert level in gymnastics (and "body movements" in general) that you can verbalise it and visualise it and theories it. A lot of older athlètes are able to compete longer because they do less repetitions of very hard movements and do a lot of visualisation to prevent injuries. Also, we rarely see an athlete going thru all the phases of learning in one practice at the gym. I stopped coaching during the pandemy and then started a new career but I miss coaching sooooo much!! Thanks again for this one and i hope you make more videos like this one!
