Shadow claw is that good of a move, allows for better neutral play, especially for water mons

Shadow claw is pretty nice. I still run powder snow on my slash because i specifically use him vs dragons and fliers. I do wish i had shadow claw vs cressalia. But he still goes bang on even with cress even with powder snow. So its not a hard change.

Shadow claw is only resisted by two types (normal and dark). Powder snow is resisted by three types (water, fire, steel). So you are more likely to make neutral damage, especially once you consider how prevalent water and steel are. Not only that, but steel does well against normal attacks and you have coverage to hit darks regardless of fast attack, but you have no CA pressure against waters and can only throw your "nuke" if you run powder snow. It also increases coverage: You now have three different typing in your attack versus two. That being said, they are clones of each other. In situations where you have ASlash only for the ice coverage, powder snow just makes sense.
