I went bouldering once at a gym near me but never ended up going back, I think when I go back home (not at home at the time of writing this), I will definitely be encouraged to go again.

I think the fact all different levels exist in the same space, can create such a healthy competition which then creates solid camaraderie amongst members and participants of the community!

@@lukasmuller1274 That's for two reasons: first, we all were inexperienced once, and people cheering us up was nice, so we continue the tradition. That's the "climbers are nice" reason. Second: the more people climb indoors, the more we can lure to outdoor climbing, and the more will then find and share new boulders or open new routes. That's the "climbers are sneaky" reason.

The climbing community seems like a great group. Magnus being humble and inclusive makes me want to try climbing.

I've done a little casual stuff here and there while traveling, I wish there was a gym where I live, always loved how mellow of a sport it is.

Go for it! its actually more fun than you currently think, its like a puzzle you do with your body, you dont even notice youre putting in a serious workout... im one year in and im ripped af :D (only climbing and some weight training (10kg) because i started out with noodles as arms :P) Climbing shoes can be cheap af...

You should go climbing! Let me know how it goes. I've been climbing for an EXTREMELY long time, and it always makes me happy to see people have fun climbing and improving at climbing.

i have been thinking the same honestly, theres a climbing gym not to far from me and i always go overthere. barely saw it not to long ago and was like damn. maybe i should give it a shot, but i would feel awkward going alone tbh

Dude same I went bouldering two days ago for the first and my forearms are still dusted and I was only doing v2's😂 . It was super fun though I highly recommend giving it a try.

Do it! Don't get discouraged when you get forearm fatigue quickly. It takes a couple times climbing for 1-2 weeks then you should be able to climb for hours.

I mean they counted Stanz not even pulling an inch of his body as half. They'd count anything as a full rep. lol

They were intentionally doing very shortened reps for the video to bring up the number, it's funny. Otherwise Magnus would have to beat like, maybe 5 full reps? Magnus wasn't being "kind", he was having fun and making content, via doing an activity where the number and winner doesn't actually matter. The premise there is that they're obviously doing really short reps, and directly telling each other to shorten the reps, to try and do anything they possibly can lol. Gotta follow what's going on better, guys.

@@aki42 Nothing is crazy, i’m staying in the V1-V2 range. I actually did end up finally sending a climb not too long ago! I just don’t have a lot of strength and wasn’t using very good technique. Though I’m improving!
