I'm very proud of our music. Thank You very much, Mr. Werbock. It's really nice to hear how You play our national music so enthusiastically. No comment, Just amazing!
it was amazing to see them attempt to integrate mugham in an orchestrial environment. it sounded beautiful. also interesting was the kamancha's sound reflected in every instrument.
It's amazing how Easterners can adapt to Western music ,but the opposite is hardly true. This guy plays the notes correctly ,but I can sense as a middle easterner all the missing expressions and emphases here and there that it's lacking. You need a good immersion in Azerbaijani folk songs and eastern tones to be able to play mugham. For a Westerner's ear that is not used to quarter tones and maqam this is incredibly difficult.
for western man he has a good sence. he knows some mugham parts and he repeats them. and as I know his wife is from azerbaijan. and there is a joke. where are you from, answer, I.m not married yet. Listen Habil Aliyev, Imamyar Hasanov, Alim Kasumov he is king of mugham
