I remember doing my first backflip, I was trying to do a back handspring, and accidentally did a back flip (I landed on my knees but that's a minor detail) I was so shocked and then just started doing actual back flips (actually landing them) I also remember doing my first front flip. I was obsessed with watching Tanner Braungardt because he did a lot of trampoline tricks, and I watched his technique, and practiced for a long time. I got it when it was dark out, and was so excited. I immediately started yelling for my mom and brother to come over so that I could show them.

Possibly one of the best, most effective tutorials I've seen on anything. Your life genuinely looked like a complete novice to the backflip, despite how athletic she probably is. And for her to learn it with your technique is crazy. great job.

I learned my first backflip by doing back handsprings because I felt like with my hands out I could catch my fall if need be. Now years later a backflip is something you can’t unlearn. Once you get it down it always stays with you!

I learned my back flip in one day too but I was always scared to break my neck so I always jumped and flopped on my back and went over the thr day I tried going for my backflip I landed it that day and I continued doing then then I did one and I landed wrong on my ankle like it went sideways when I feel and wristed it turned out I fractured 2 of my growth plates and pushed my bone out which made me have surgery two weeks ago

Hi, this was the tutorial that taught me how to do it. No others worked but this did. I just wanna say.. if you ever get that random burst of confidence sometimes use it by attempting a backhand spring, and once you get that down a backflip will be SO SIMPLE it's insane.

Ok so um I might try this technique for back handspring on grass because that still scares me but, on the trampoline I would learn a backflip by doing back springs and slowly getting higher. I learned my back handspring and backflip in the same day so it's ok if you can't do a back handspring. Just stand w back bend then kick over w feet together then add more bounce/ momentum. Also don't be scared to land on your knees when first doing backflips because a lot of people try to land on feet then fall foward and face plant or something which can be bad.

I used to be afraid but it’s not bad! Just face your fear and do it! I couldn’t even do a back handspring but in my opinion backflip is easier but I just went backwards my first time and landed it.

I learned how to do a back handspring on my trampoline then one day i did and i fell of my tramp broke my neck and cracked my head open so the story is trampolines are death traps and i have anxiety of going on trampolines now because i feel I’m going to die!

i tried to do the back cartwheel thing and i ended up injuring my leg super badly

i learned a backflip in under a minute, now i don’t known if it was actually under a minute i just had someone spot me a few times and eventually i did it my self

I was jumping on my cousin’s trampoline at his birthday party and I was terrified to do a backflip so me and my friend started doing the backwards cartwheel before the party actually started, after we did the backwards cartwheel we actually went into a back handspring and eventually it turned into a backflip so when the party started and all my cousins and friends were there my friend and I started to show off our backflips to everyone cause I was the first one to do a backflip then my friend got the courage from seeing me and just committed to do a backflip SO THANKS ALOT NOW I CAN SHOW OFF AT EVERY TRAMP PARK AND TRAMPOLINE!!!!

TL;DR - dont use this because your form will be shoddy, start by jumping back onto your knees, its easy and gets you over the fear of jumping back, then swing arms and get higher, and boom you landed it. 5 months ago, but for anyone wanting to learn form this, dont make the sideways launch a habit, also you need to tuck in more, the further apart your legs the faster the rotation, but it looks like shit, also use your arms as you jump into it.

Yes!! My 11 year old daughter has been begging me to try it, and learn to backflip, we go to a trampoline park frequently, and have a 15tf trampoline at home we use often. I've got front flips down perfectly, been teaching her, she just needs more height. I've been scared of the backflip. But this idea, to learn... Yeah, I'll be back flipping soon I'm sure. When you showed her herself in the video to find what she needs to do to get it all the way, that’s what I did for learning my front flip but in slowmo so it’s easier to see. Imma try this now I hope it goes well nice job love this

I just did a back handspring and then did a really high backspring and landed on my knees. Once I landed on my knees, I filmed it and made adjustments! I have only landed it once because I got too confident and landed on my face. I now have a mental block. 😕

I just got mine in 10 minutes all because of my amazing cartwheels. My brothers have always told me to stop doing cartwheels because it is so stupid and now I can do a back flip and cartwheels make you more flexible and that's how I got my back flip, my split and my back handspring!

I learned by back handsprings first and I learned that basically the same way like this just doing a round off instead of a cartwheel... then I just tried to get higher and keep by hands up now they look good and I’m learning them on ground

How a easy way to learn your backflip is to learn your back handspring. But then when you are you doing you back handspring do the arm swing and tuck you legs hold your legs with you arms . But only do that when you get you back handspring! I hope this help u
