Your son, Eric did an outstanding job. I can't wait to start teaching my grandson (also Autistic) different trades that will serve him well his entire life. You are both great, lucky to have each other. "Give a man a fish ‐ and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish - and feed him life." ‐ Ritchie
Thank you. Trust me, your grandson will accomplish so much more than you may ever have thought and he will open you up to a world that will fill your heart.
Awesome job Eric!! You did excellent!! I'm looking forward to seeing more projects from you 💪💪 And dad, from one dad to another....an understanding fist bump to you. Great job brother.
Thank you for the comment. This was definitely a big step for me as a dad. Thought long and hard before getting him on the table sae, even though I have a SawStop. Thought even longer about bringing this to RU-vid.
Very well done eric .. we all have to start somewhere. And as a professional carpenter myself i think you done absolutely fantastic! This project will open up the door to many other projects you can give ago at! Proud of you mate. Well done 👍 🙂
Beautiful video. Being a new woodworker i learnt so much from this video. I think you should keep sharing such videos which means keep teaching Eric. We students will be learning along side Eric. This is also good bcz sometimes the videos don't have those basics as they assume its understood. As in my case i am still learning to start making pocket holes. All the best wishes for Eric and we can have a wonderful learning together.
Great job with the shoe rack Eric, a nice sturdy build and it was refreshing to see you keeping your hands well out of the way while your Dad showed you how to use the tools, too many people are prone to pointing their fingers at saw blades and other sharp edged tools while they are in use, I live in a small house and have a small workshop so I to am always looking for space saving and multiuse projects to build and your shoe rack is a great design, I'll be defiantly using it as inspiration in a future build, looking forward to watching your next project.
Thanks. He did do a great job for sure! Still to come is shelves on wall, book case (with trim), and another shoe rack which will be a bit fancier. He worked at a shoe store and now in the shoe department of a larger store so he has learned he likes shoes. He has more than I do for sure :)
Fantastic job Eric, I look forward to seeing more learning videos! Also, Hanna said her favorite was watching the finishing spray process as well, she said it was very satisfying watching the colors change.
