Hi Nicholeen, Have you seen The Irish Coleman Family episode of the World's Strictest Parents? The Parents have their children on an earning system with their allowance the way that the children save their allowance is by doing their chores and it's important because that allowance becomes their food and clothing, etc. The thing is that it made me think about why there are children who are so bratty and entitled, etc. and it's probably because they are in the mindset that everything happens out of the drop of a hat if you will without them having to do anything. This is why they should be taught the moral of earning what they want. Yes, work isn't gonna always be fun but your patience and still being there to console them and help them through their struggles upon and during the time that they do the task asked of them without putting so much extra on them can go further and further into bringing them around. For me, it is better off that the child learned the moral of earning things while their parents are alive versus waiting to have to try to learn it on their own in the event that they are left on their own. - Dwight
